Can you TT it towards the Big Bill instead?

In the end that's what I've done. I will try to do a TT against card after the DD comes out. In any case I've now done 2 TTs as I did the one I'd been swithering over, and then did another to account for the DDs that had come out. Signature updated, broken over the 1% mark :rotfl:

Bank looks squeaky still. Currently shows a £100 surplus but I'm fairly certain that is already spoken for. The credit card we are currently using as our "pay monthly" Amex for the Avios has a payment date that falls annoyingly a few days short of payday. I stupidly booked a hotel we need for a trip away the day before the monthly statement cut off; in what was already a tight month. I still have the option of delaying the hay order (still have a round bale left from last year and they aren't needing hay yet anyway) which will give me £160 that could go towards the lorry cost - all I've allocated so far is the test itself, but between labour and any parts it needs it's unlikely to be a small bill.

Also should be able to save a few pounds on my lunch budget. If I can save £50 here then that might just about cover the rest of the lorry <optimistic>

Next month doesn't look as tight. No boiler payment, no catch up on holiday spend, no lorry costs (hopefully), so looks like I should have c£700 surplus next month. My aim will be to put all that against the 0% card, and any other income such as 1poll will go against the January bill.

I suppose I better think about the dreaded :xmastree: as well. We've done Secret Santa the last couple of years which keeps the cost down considerably. Hopefully can do that again.

Right that's enough musing, off to reconcile my credit card statements. It's a rock and roll lifestyle I have here....

Thanks Brizzled and hello :hello: Have seen you about. Anyone who is fully debt free is a big inspiration to me. I spend way too much time reading diaries on here, but at least it's free!

In a mixed mood. Had a bit of a panic. Total credit card plus big bill = £7.5k. Budget includes £500 in regular payments leaving £7k to save/pay. Best case scenario is I can put £1100 a month towards it. With 5 pay days until the 0% runs out it's not enough. Let's face it, no month is best case scenario. I don't think I can magic up the rest of the money.

That said: sold something on fleabay. Listed 2 things buy-it-now yesterday, and 1 sold today :T £20 before fees. Other one I've had a question about. Found a rug I can sell that I don't think I will need to replace immediately. That could go for about £80 I reckon. Am 75p off a 1poll payout, and have £90 in TCB (not yet payable) with another £40 I've claimed for. All that together equals around £300 which would be a huge way towards my January big bill. Frantically wracking brains for what else I could sell.

Worst case is I will run into a bit of interest or apply for a new deal. But if I get a bonus it would be around March time, and I don't want to use that for debt

Panic over. Earned 23p interest on my savings :rotfl:

Did another TT so that takes January big bill up to a whopping £20.47. Still to transfer the paypal which will nearly double that immediately. Haven't heard about my lorry yet though. Nervous about how much that could set me back.

Need to go to PO today to post the fleabay item. Other than that, at home so should be a NSD.

Sorry you've had a wobble. We all get them but sounds like you are up and at 'em again..which is the main thing.

Maybe the bonus is there to be used??? The main thing is to get DF.. win the war and all that..

My bonus (such that it is) always seems to just get swallowed up. I am just really keen to try to get my head properly above water. Get the debt paid off, and get ahead of all the big bills. That would mean I could either save it or use it for some home improvements. It might not be fully achievable in time but at least I'm keeping focussed on it.

Another £20 in my account courtesy of yesterday's Fleabay. Need to keep it there until I know postage costs, which I will do later.

Rug is advertised. Fingers x'd as that would be lucrative.

Postage came in a little bit under expected cost. Another £16.20 transferred to bill account. Drip drip drip but at least it's in the right direction for once!

[STRIKE]Must go and check though. Before fees I should be 21.20 in profit. Between paypal and fleabay that seems to suggest £5 in fees which is 20%. Have either of them had a significant increase?[/STRIKE] No I'm just an idiot. Have an extra £1.50 in P-pal I could have switched over. Will leave that for now.:o

1poll now 10p away from target. Guesses as to how many weeks it is before I get that last survey??? :p

Well it took 48 hours to get my final survey but now have £40 winging* its way towards p-pal. And am 20p into my new batch. Going to try to get to another £40 before the end of the year which will require dedication!

Got a decent sw@g survey too so hoping if I can keep that up to get another amaz-in voucher soon.

No movement on other items I'm selling. Will have to list a couple of things on bay of E.

Rainy here. Very uninspired. Must get moving. Food shopping urgent as no milk. Things to clear up after wind the other night.

Money ok so far. Cash spends restrained. Couple of my bigger DDs out. Should be ok to defer hay order as grass still good, but not heard about lorry yet  13 days till payday, that seems quick somehow. Farrier here on Monday though which is another big drain on my bank. Budgeted at least. Right. Must achieve something today.

    *winging = within 28 days ;)

Hmm. So not sure how I'm feeling.

Food shopping on Saturday under budget. Check
Hair appointment today. In budget. Check.
Farrier here today, in budget. Check.
No other money spent (oh other than £1.75).

All sounds good. Except. Had a bit of disappointing news. Though not even sure that's the right word. We had a large bill to pay a year ago which we did via our lawyer. The cheque never got cashed, and after a period of time the lawyer returned our funds. It was a few £k. Luckily we kept the money aside (we knew we would likely still have to pay it). Well today was the day. The problem being we've just paid out for a piece of work in the house (from savings) and had committed to our next round of IVF. All these things leave us with no savings at all :(.

Not a place I like to be :(

But, if the SHTF I could sell my car. Also have various shares and share saves so we'd not be destitute, but it's not a great place to be. I'm trying to get rid of debt yet at the same time seem to have inadvertently plundered our savings. I feel like I'm doing something very wrong

I have done a TT into Big Bill. But I'm going to have to sell all my possessions at this rate.
