08 numbers included in free minutes?
Just got a new phone on T-mobile and noticed my free minutes include 08 numbers - this is great (if true!) as I'll no longer have to pay (or use saynoto0870) for 0800, let alone 0871, 0844 etc.
Is T-mobile the only network to offer this facility or is it becoming standard practice? It would be very useful for my wife who has to make a lot of international calls and could therefore use it for effectively free calls overseas via the override companies. She's on Orange at the moment but contract shortly up for renewal.
Thanks.

It's definitely is true and gives T-Mobile a huge advantage in my view. I'm not aware of any other network which offers ALL 08 numbers as part of their bundle, but could be wrong.0

How much are they charging per month for it?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
It's not an add-on. Their tariffs seem no dearer than other major networks - and in fact (if anything) have larger bundles for the cost.0

I actually went for this tariff as it was the cheapest available on the phone I wanted (Nexus 5), and the inclusion of 08 numbers was just an unexpected bonus.
Tariff is £26 a month for 300 minutes, 1GB of data (but reduces to equivalent of £19 a month when you factor in cash back). 24 month contract. If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0 -
Its been available for some time now see: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/46266930

Historically the mobile networks have blocked override access numbers as soon as they find them, as it means lost revenue. It may be worth checking with them before committing yourself to a contract.0 -
The only thing that would stop me with these plans are the limited data allowances.
With apps like WeQ4U and 08 Wizard out there, having 08xx bundles/inclusion on your mobile is irrelevant.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0
