Address not on royal mail, does it matter for mortgage application?

Hi,
My address is not appearing on the royal mail address finder ( royalmail dot com slash postcode-finder).
i think it was a 3 bed property (143) which was converted to two one bed flats with each flat sold to different owners. Ground flat was numbered 143 n first floor flat was numbered 143-A.
I can see the address 143 but can't see 143-A.
I am planning to make a mortgage application soon. Will the address not appearing on royal mail address finder have any negative effect on my credit history?
Thanks

TBH this is one of my biggest nightmares. Property which does come up on the PAF search does not always register properly on lender systems and I've had problems with flats and named property with Halifax and Nationwide in the last few months. Having no identifiable address may well be worse.
TBH if the lender can't match you, your address and credit history you may find an automatic decline, as Halifax puts it "due to insufficient Experian data."I am a mortgage broker. Thanks for reply.
What is PAF search? is it post code address finder abbreviation?
Can you also guide me what should I do to rectify this? I am thinking of requesting credit reports from Callcredit, Experian, and Equifax but in worst case, what should I do to rectify this?0 -
This will cause a problem for most mainstream lenders when they try to search you.
Getting your three credit files as suggested will help you understand the address format that you are listed under and guide you as to the 'address' to use with your application.I am a Mortgage Broker

You can always email addressmaintenance@royalmail.com - they update their database pretty fast (within a couple of days, when I had to add my address). You don't have to be the owner - I did it when I was merely a prospective tenant.
Unfortunately many 3rd party systems that use the database only update their copy quite infrequently, so it will take a while before it appears on all lenders' systems, but if you're sure that your addition is correct, there's no harm in getting it done asap.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Thanks I have already requested this by using the form available on royal mail website.

Nothing I can suggest which hasn't already been suggested.
I can't imagine what would be visible on your credit files, if the CRAs are unable to match to an address.I am a mortgage broker. If you do your own credit searches, input the address exactly as shown on your bank account statements, or other credit statements, then at least it should find you.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I had the same issue years ago and it affected my credit report. My solution was to (a) check address format with council/electoral roll (turned out that officially I was "Ground Floor Flat 123" not 123A, (b) check what address credit agencies used and (c) contact lenders, phone providers etc and ensure they reflected the correct format. Took a few months to all go through but credit report fine now.0

Thanks for replying.
In my case, I receive council tax with correct address on it i.e. 143-A so I assume council has the correct address? However 143-A does not appear in the post office address finder0 -
I remember this coming up on R4 Moneybox some months ago. People had bought 'new build' houses but they didn't have post codes, some had moved in and when they contacted their car insurers to inform them of the change of address were told they couldn't get cover 'cos the address didn't exist.
I forget the full story now but i know some people had to leave their cars parked up for weeks 'cos they weren't insured to drive them.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
