the 3G is pretty poor in my work on my iphone 4 (vodafone), i know lots of metal buildings etc but is there anything i can do to improve the signal, other than standing on one leg by the window, while balancing like a ballerina?
Are there any plug in signal boosters etc?

Vodafones SureSignal box as suggested would work, it takes your calls and routed them over the internet rather than being a standalone booster .
It needs to be put on your works network/ broadband connection. You can register 32 vodafone numbers to it and 8 device can use it at once.
Question is will your work allow it on the network from a IT security point of view, and if they do can it be configured correctly to pass data out of the company network.0 -
If you're going to use your work internet anyway, can't you just use WiFi? You said it was for 3g rather than calls.0
