Multifuel Stove: What do you do with the ash?

Ok, quick question.
With a multifuel stove how do you dispose of the ash from burning smokeless fuel. When burning wood I maybe need to empty ash one a week or so and I gather the ash is good for garden.
But with ash from smokeless ovoids need to empty at least daily; is it just a case of letting cool down and dump in rubbish bin?
I've checked (Northumberland) council website and searched but can't find any mention?

Get another metal bucket to keep out the back door to tip it in. Once cold,in a bin bag and in the wheelie0

You're correct in that wood ash is good for the garden / compost heap, coal ash is not.
There's a wealth of information on this site :

including some slightly quirky uses for ash

I already have an ash bucket which I empty the ash tray into. Just wondered what the best approach was after this.
Seems a bit wasteful to put ash into bag although I assume if not a bag it will make a hell of a mess when the waste truck tips it in and drives off.
Thanks all for the responses.0 -
