Morning all
So, good news is I got the contract and managed to get nearly 10x the amount of work/hours which clearly means shed loads more money. However as I'm away for some of the time I don't get all of it this time as somebody else has to do my work. However, if all goes well we could be in line to get this as a regular gig and so getting a lump sum of XXX every quarter will be lovely.
I also found out yesterday that my existing client has budgeted us in for April and from what they were saying for a few more afterwards, although that has to be confirmed. Again this is brilliant news but I won't get all the money as again I won't be doing all the work in April.
However, I am going to be doing about a third of the existing client's work before I go and as much as I can of the new client's work too. I'll also pick them both up soon as I get back. It just means that next week is a major work fest. I also have another client who wants me to do just one extra week next week so it's not too bad. Although when I worked it out I think I need an extra 7 hours each day next week! Still, it will be worth it.
On another note, Littley has exceeded enormously in her swimming challenge and so some more money went onto her travel money card so she has a nice wedge to take with her. Rather than me just giving her some money it's all her own saved up from pocket money, birthday, Christmas etc from the last year and I'm so proud of her for that.
Right, better get on with some work to try and get ahead of myself! Have a great day everyonexx

Hey everyone
Hope all you Mother's out there had an amazing Mother's Day, you all deserved it.
I got spoiled rotten by Littley then went and spoilt my Mum. It was a bit emotional at the beginning of the day with it being her first Mother's Day since my grandmother passed but we had a drink for her and some flowers in a vase next to her picture so that was nice. My bro & his family also Skyped Mum so she got to see all of us.
But, soon as Littly went to bed I've had to get the old lappy out and do some work! I've got so much to do before the end of the month it's unreal. However, I've managed to do all of March's work already for my main client so can start on April's this week. Huge relief but still a way to go. My driving lady doesn't need me & I've cancelled my mystery shop work for the week. It's a bit of a loss of earnings (£75) but I really need to get the other work done first as 1) they're way more important clients 2) the contracts are longer term & 3) they're way more money! lol
Anyhoo, that's all for now. I'm going to catch a bit of Alex O'Loughlin and then sweet dreams for me!!
Have a great week everyonexx

Evening all
I always feel like a copper when I write that. lol
So, the 3 clients that I have this week have all been interesting to say the least.
Although we hadn't told the new clients that I was clearing off for ages they've now changed their deadlines which has left the company I work for in a predicament as it may mean they have to do some of my work - not good. I'm hoping this won't be the case as if so I lose a heck of a lot of money but we'll see. I've had a look at the airline website & I may be able to use wifi onboard so could do some more work on the flight over. Well, what else am I going to do for 24 hours!!
Even though I've warned my main client in each meeting over the last month that I'm off soon they've only just managed to pass some of the work over to me - not all of it but some of it. It still means I've got shed loads to do for them but there you go.
And finally, the woman who I do the least work for has now asked me to do extra before I go. Yeah love, I'm finishing work in 2 days and have ridiculous amounts of work to do and you want me to do more!? lol
Why is it the clients that pay the least always want more out of you than the ones who are happy to pay more?
Anyway, I think I'm going to stop working for the day. Laptop's battery is low - thankfully - or I think I'd continue and I'm half asleep so would have to do it all again tomorrow. Think I'll stick a bit of Blue Bloods on & get my Donnie fix. I'm such a 90s child! lol
Night everyonexx

Morning everyone!
Well we got back last week and today's our first day back to work & school. It's 8degrees and this time last week the temp was 34 - not much of a difference! lol At least the sun's shining.
We had the best time ever and would love to move over there permanently. This is something I've wanted to do for ages and Littley decided she wanted to move there before we'd even got out of the airport carpark bless her.
Moneywise, I did go over my budget but only by £150 so that wasn't too bad. Littley also got us lots of freebies including wifi in our hotel room ($25) dinner paid for ($27) & lots of other bits and pieces. I've trained her well although having such a beautiful, genuine smile also helped heaps.
Today I've got the horrendous task of going through all the last month's post, all my work emails and also sorting out my money properly. It's probably not as bad as I'm thinking but at the same time it's going to be as bad as I'm thinking! lol
I also have to go through the 1400 pics I've got to see which ones I want printed. Yes you read that right, 1400!! And they're the good ones. I probably took a good 2000 pics in the 4.5 weeks we were away but then we also did so much stuff that 1400 isn't that many. We probably did at least 3 or 4 trips/sightseeing activities a day - we're still quite tired!
I'm going through the cheap photo thing on here as well as using Photobox's vouchers they kindly sent through yesterday. Still, it's going to cost a bit as obviously I won't print all of them but I'd say a fair few!
Wish me luck on my crappy day ahead but tbf, the previous month has been worth it!
Have a great day everyonexx

Welcome back sassychick.
It sounds like you have had an amazing time. Who cares about £150 here and there when you are making such fabulous memories.
Good luck with the post and emails. A truly dreadful job.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Afternoon everyone
Sorting through the emails and post wasn't as bad as I expected. Considering I was away for near enough 5 weeks there wasn't much there!
Had 2 meetings with work today and another tomorrow. All seems to have gone well and so should tomorrow's too. Fingers' crossed.
Read most of the emails. They basically say the same thing so didn't bother too much! Just got to work out how to stay warm now as soooo cold!! lol
Have a good day everyonexx
