Fastfreddie wrote: »Maybe i have, maybe i have'nt? But explain this; the photocopy of the application form does NOT have a box to tick for PPi yet when searching for images of the SAME form there is clearly a box to tick for PPi and the forms are identical to the photocopy they sent me except for the "little box".
And after speaking to the FSA today they have advised me to carry on with the claim, it sounds like you lot trust the banks? Pahahahah!0 -

How did you speak to the FSA when they ceased to exist a year ago?
It isnt about trusting the banks. It is about common sense and logic. Your complaint has to be one of the daftest going. You have your statements, you can see you haven't paid any PPI as it would appear on the statement if you had and the bank has told you that you haven't had PPI. Yet you want to complain being mis-sold a product you dont have.
The FOS, in case your initials are wrong, will never refuse a complaint. Their scripted telephone call service will always encourage submission of a complaint. They are well known for this.So PPi does'nt get "built in" with the interest?! hmmm interesting!
No it doesnt. It is not possible as the requirement of the consumer credit act means it cannot. That is just a myth put about by cold calling scamming claims companies attempting to earn their commissions for getting people to sign up.I've also read on another site tonight of a claimant recieving a "paste and copied" application form which like mine has obvious mistakes :-)
The courts ruled a few years ago that in cases where the original agreement cannot be located, the banks are allowed to provide a reconstituted copy. Nothing unusual there.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. In other threads you say you have all your old statements from and including 1989. If this is the case and no PPI payments are shown on any of them, then I recommend you cease sending SAR letters to your credit card providers as this is a waste of £10 each time.0 -

Credit card PPI is monthly PPI and is calculated as % of the balance (often 7 or 8%) and is added on the monthly statement as a PPI premium.
Which is pointless explaining as from what you have said you dont have PPI.Fastfreddie wrote: »And after speaking to the FSA today they have advised me to carry on with the claim, it sounds like you lot trust the banks? Pahahaha!
This is either a wind up, or you are not too bright or just perhaps dishonest. You can either be smart or get angry with us, but this wont make you have a PPI policy.0 -
No, thats loan single premium PPI which is different.

Are you sure on those figures? All the credit card PPI I've seen has been around 0.7-0.8% of the monthly statement balance, not 7-8%urs sinserly,

I hope so as 7-8% sounds extortionate!0 -
