RBS - Are they Lying????

Options
I recently sent a Subject Access Request to RBS with whom i've had a credit card for over 10 years, they sent me every statement from the past 6 years (which i had anyway as i'm self employed) and a photocopy of the original application form. They state in the opening letter i did not have PPi so they could not send me the policy details, however, on the original application form it says "we strongly recommend that you take out PPi" - if you wish to take it out please tick this box BUT there is no box on the form for me to tick anyway! I have been told this is a tactic to make me go away and they have removed the box from the form? Has anybody else had anything similar to this from RBS? What should i do now?

So, in 10 years, over 120 statements, you have never seen any PPI on your statements. You have those statements and still cant see any PPI. The bank tell you that you dont have PPI. Yet you think that this may be a tactic to make you go away?

I know the Banks are far from the innocent party in the PPI debacle, but this is verging on the ridiculous.

Fast freddie, you dont have PPI.
  • Maybe i have, maybe i have'nt? But explain this; the photocopy of the application form does NOT have a box to tick for PPi yet when searching for images of the SAME form there is clearly a box to tick for PPi and the forms are identical to the photocopy they sent me except for the "little box".
And after speaking to the FSA today they have advised me to carry on with the claim, it sounds like you lot trust the banks? Pahahahah!

If you saw the copy of the application form they sent me you think otherwise!
I've also read on another site tonight of a claimant recieving a "paste and copied" application form which like mine has obvious mistakes :-)

So PPi does'nt get "built in" with the interest?! hmmm interesting!
  • So PPi does'nt get "built in" with the interest?!

    Correct.
If you can't see it on your statements on a separate line, then you never paid it.

Fast Freddie, you STILL don't have PPI!

It does not get built in with interest.
