yes, that's what I thought...and they've changed an old flexaccount of mine into a cashcard account (just when I was going to upgrade it to a flexdirect)....although they may have told me by letter as I work away and haven't had my mail yet
Did you sort this out with Nationwide? I've just noticed my flexaccount has been changed to a cashcard account, but I use mine as my main bank account so have salary going in etc. It's been a flexaccount for the past 3 years according to my statements!
No messages or letters from them about it either so at a bit of a loss, tried the call centre but they they couldn't help and asked me to call back tomorrow.0 -

Sounds like your account has been moved on to the new back office system this weekend. You'll be able to tell as the Ministatement will have disappeared and you can see all transaction details on the day that they appear.
Our 2nd currant account was moved last weekend and the name changed to Cashcard Plus. I'm pretty sure that when we opened it 9 years or so ago, it was touted as a basic bank account (i.e. no overdraft) but was still branded Flexaccount. I'd guess that as part of the move they are just applying the current product name to the account.0 -

Indeed.....however we have a mortgage app with them and a requirement is a flexaccount......0 -
That's not good - Did you get it sorted. It would have been helpful to have been pre-warned about this especially as you say it's your main account and are applying for a mortgage.Did you sort this out with Nationwide? We finally got the bottom of this.
Apparently, a long time ago, all their current accounts were branded as "Flexaccount" and now they aren't.
As such they decided to do a rename of the accounts, as it didn't change T&C they didn't notify anyone.
We went into branch and kicked up a bit of a fuss, they didn't know anything about it either. After several calls between branch and HO it was sorted out. Apparently our account was always a Cash Card and never was a "Flexaccount"!0
