Water and waste services refunds of DD payments.

Can any water users with direct experience of receiving a water rates refund tell me which suppliers in England refund into your bank account ?

    Can't really see the point of your question unless it is just research as you are tied to the supplier in the area of the country you live, you cannot pick and choose water companies.

    ive never heard of anyone getting a refund of water rates.


    Why do you ask.


    Please don't say you have had a cold call from someone saying they can get refunds for you for an up front fee. If so, they are scammers and be running for the hills with your up front fee.

    Are you referring to refunds for Surface Water Drainage?

    We got a credit on our bill, which is a bit like a refund but you don't actually see the cash. One assumes that if you've paid a water bill up frontor you are in credit on your direct debit and then move during the paid period then you'll be entitled to some money back - when we moved the surplus was paid direct into the bank account where the direct debit came from (Anglian Water for sewerage and Essex & Suffolk Water for water)
    Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
