OK, all of us are prepared for the "House Flooding" question here, the "Insurance won't pay" in Money, the "Need a new House" in Homebuyers, and the "My wife left me for a builder" in Marriage & relationships....
My top (only) tip. Plumbing is the wet stuff. 'Lectricals is the invisible stuff. I reckon that's about it fer nowledge like.0 -

As the bath we bought was a shower bath, we needed to to be as rigid as possible, so we found a 10mm thick reinforced acrylic bath that was 1675mm similar to this one:

Hope that helps.
Great find , thanks , do you find the 10mm acrylic and encapsulated baseboard , was sufficiently rigid for your showering ?
Also , was the shower screens that come with those baths , a good quality ?
tempted by your link...Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -

It was actually this one we went for and it's been great. Really good quality bath, good rigidity (me and hubby are on the chunky side so we needed something up to the job!) and it's spacious to have a bath in. The shower screen is excellent too, we bought a couple as you can create a "cubicle" within the bath, but we just installed one and find it does the job. Good delivery too...
Not affiliated in any way to this ebayer btw!0 -
A lot of 1700mm baths come up at 1685mm then just channel into wall both ends. Don't cut the bath as you will weaken it and void the warranty.0

Have you measured the walls and not the tiles? I measured the tiles at first thinking I'd need a 1670 bath and had trouble finding one I liked...then came the lightbulb moment to take the bath panel off and measure the wall underneat the bath where there are no tiles0

yes , because there is no side to our bath anymore since a leak , so i measured wall to wallNever, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0

Oh fair enough
Better bathrooms do a lovely freestanding bath that is 1670 - the tabor I think it's called, that's the one I was going to go for before I realised my error!
