How do you tell a sellers dispatch time by their stars

Seeing as RM hit their delivery time target of 93/98% (1st/2nd class) I know which I would consider most likely to be at fault.

What if the seller had 4.9 stars for shipping date? Would you still blame the delay on them?

It is a problematic issue; definitely not a "fact" as you mentioned earlier, but a guess at best.

I was just stressing the fact that sometimes it is possible to know what the dispatch date is.

I think knowing the dispatch date is the norm, or at least it's easy to find out if one is curious.

I can't think of many parcels that arrive either without tracking or a post mark both of which will confirm when the item was sent.

If people do not understand the different between 'dispatch time' and 'delivery time', they are not qualified to rate these stars, even though Ebay allow them to do so! A couple of people who do not understand what dispatch means who end up giving a 1* or 2* can put someone out of business as well...

It depends what you buy on eBay, but I don't think it's the norm.

I don't think NOT knowing is the norm.

Parcels will either be delivered via courier, or Royal Mail or Parcelforce. In all cases one can find out when it was dispatched if anyone cares enough either by typing in a tracking nunber into the courier delivery website or looking at postage labels / post marks.

I can't really see how what one buys comes into it at all.

I have two parcels received from eBay sellers in front of me now and they have no dates. Both sent with RM 1st class, but have the labels printed. If you know something I don't know, please share it.
