Hi guys when I open Internet Explorer on my pc keep getting a message saying internet explorer has stopped working then I click check online for a solution but it just keeps going round in circles like that without working. It seems to work okay when in private but obviously something is wrong but don't know what.
Any help would be much appreciated guys , thanks .

Is it on all we pages or just one?
Do you get the same issue with other browsers such as Firefox or Chrome?1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0 -
Avast's webrep add-on. Disable it.
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/internet-explorer/manage-add-ons#ie=ie-110 -
Stop using Internet Explorer0

WTFH I have only tried a few pages tbh but seems to happen on the almost every one.
Haven't tried chrome or Firefox on this PC.
Waddler 8 OK thanks will try that mate0 -
disabling the addon should workaround it,
or make sure avast is updated, if it continues, try cleaning temp files with ccleaner, reset ie to defaults under tools, internet options, advanced, and reinstalling avast!!

I've been getting the same the past few days with both IE9 and Safari. Am going to try the Avast suggestion above as I recently installed it after my AVG subscription ran out.0

Closed thanks will try the add-on, Avast is on automatic updates,
Have used ccleaner before but only under help from here , afraid of deleting something I shouldn't !
Thanks for the reset tip too0 -
ccleaner just deletes temp files (untick the log file option before cleaning), you don't need to use the registry cleaner option!!
