Which is better: Tommy or RL?

Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren both have sales on. Tommy has a lovely red polo shirt, while RL has a few similar ones, but I have a code they gave me (after their site crashed a few days ago), that gets me the similar top for about the same price. But a view please for fans of both or either: which is the better quality…
