Are you sure? I thought there was a charge (either 2.5% or £2.50 can't remember) for credit cards but not debit cards.
    You are right - it's £2.50.
I just checked my records that I did use my CC for this recently. Normally I would have never done this, but this time I did because of 3% cashback that over-weighted £2.50.

Road tax can be paid by a CC without extra charges.

DVLA charge £2.50 if you wish to pay by credit card

There are ways to still use a credit card if needed, by putting any other shopping you do on the credit card, like groceries then using the money you would have spent on that to cover the bills that cant be paid for by CC.

As long as you can clear the CC each month, it wont cost you any extra.

If you need it for a shortfall in your income, then you will run into problems

It's unlikely that using a CC will help rationalise your cashflow from weekly pay.

A better approach would be to spread your DDs across the month (most suppliers allow you to change DD date at will). This should match the bills with income better, whilst retaining all relevant DD discounts & incentives.

No, it took me no more than 1-2 minutes:

My point was that your post was 8 minutes after I replied to SuperAllyB's post and admitted that I was wrong and 7 minutes after I corrected my previous post.
This happens to me too - when I am too slow, but in such cases I just delete my post that became pointless.
