My two sons & I all have an Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

    May get more answers in the Consumer Rights forum, however I'd suggest you have had 3 years or so without paying and it is up to you to choose whether to take the full service or find another supplier from here in.

    Probably fairest is to accept it's now from 1/1/2014 on a 52-week basis but agree not to pay for the previous payments you didn't believe were owed under the old agreement (which nobody can prove either way).

    Of course the contract is valid - your payment of their service charges is a full agreement, no signature is required.

    Clearly the action you need to take is to obtain a copy of the terms and conditions prevailing, and see what ALL your obligations are. The fact you were not charged before - if the T&C's say you should be charged - is a bonus.

    It would be unusual for a business to let you away with a non attendance as they would still incur costs and be at risk if everyone chose to take their holidays!
