  • Afternoon everyone
Thank you for all your kind comments about DD, she had a scan this morning , no ectopic pregnancy & no appendicitis, she has an inflamed gland that is pressing on the appendics, so nothing serious.
Still no word on my reduced hours but I'm very tired today, so I hope I get a decision soon.
I have some washing to hang on the Maiden, the DW to empty & some ironing to do, then I shall have an early night.
    Hugs Hester

    Hi everyone,

Hester, that is great news. I'm sorry you're feeling so tired, I remember it well, the best thing I ever did was give up work, I now only occasionally get the feeling that if I don't lie down I'd fall down.

I spent the day with mum and will be there tomorrow and Wednesday as well. She's not doing so well - her heart is failing and she can't get rid of the fluid build up, her legs are very swollen and the tablets she is on don't seem to be helping. I can see she'll end up in hospital again to have intravenous drugs to reduce it.

So not a lot os, did some cleaning at mums but that was about it, I shall have a quiet night and early bed I think because I didn't sleep well again last night.

    afternoon all,

Cold here today but nice and sunny, yoga this morning, then lunch for OH and me with friend....pub grub but really nice, we both had lamb which was delicious, then went looking for new duvet....bed is double but bought kingsize for more wriggle room, got cover to fit, not the one I fancied as it was €235 but nice all the same.

Had really nice time yesterday at senior citizens party....have known so many people there for 50 years, sad that every year some oldsters have passed over but lovely to chat to those still around, especially the people I only see at that event....we have a nice ecumenical parish, which IMO is way things should be.

Glad DD is ok Hester, hope you get good decision on hours soon.

    Stay warm and safe all

    Had an enjoyable afternoon

DH has been stripping the living room and so I decided to keep out of the way . I made him a fruit cake as it's his favourite. I also had chicken and potatoes to use up, so we've had chicken potato and sweet corn soup , with some lovely crusty bread Dd2 picked up from the shop :T

Mashed the rest of the potato and it can go in the freezer for later in the week

    3rd load of washing in

(((Hugs))) to all those in pain, feeling low, not sleeping and anyone else who wants one :D

Going to watch ' are you addicted to sugar' tonight I presume I am :o:o

Just popped in to see if there was an update from Luxor and Hester.

So glad for you Luxor that it isn't something worse.

Never heard of that happening Hester. Glad your DD is diagnosed :)
  • Evening everyone,

Another Monday, another headache :( getting to be a bit of a habit, and no fun at all. It's not at the point where I have to lie down in a dark room so I will try and eat something, have plenty of water and hopefully when I wake up tomorrow it will all be better.

As expected it was a busy day at work. We have a roll-out of a new system coming up which I am going to be taking th elead in using, so it's going to be a stressful couple of weeks. Really hoping it all goes to plan.

HoneyB/Lyn - hope you get your meds sorted soon, but glad you do not have to struggle through work this week

luxor4t - really good to hear your GPs visit went ok and there were no awkward 'viewings' needed!

Julie - glad you got through your physio appt ok, hope you managed to relax for the rest of the day and that you take it easy with your exercises

welcome to 8 of us :hello:

Butterfly Brain - sorry you have had a rubbish day at your appointments

Hester - glad your DD is ok and it was nothing serious

snoozer - sorry to hear about your mum, hope you manage to get some rest tonight

Cooked up a big batch of mince at the weekend so we're having that as enchiladas. Must try and get some bread on too.

Keep warm everyone, it's chilly out there. Well wishes to those sad or unwell.

    Emma
