    I wouldn't go down that route. Not only will you open yourself up to potential grief come MoT time but you will also need to inform your insurers that you have modified your car. Depending on your circumstances, getting insurance on a modified car is not particularly hard, but there is far less choice and it is almost always going to cost you more. Sometimes a lot more.

    Rather than blanking off EGR's, worrying come MOT time, worrying about having a modified car, just get a bloody petrol powered motor and save money!

    Blanking the EGR valve normally has no impact on the MOT test.
    The thread is about DPF's though.
