Yes. You would need to get the Entertainment pack. If you do sign up, I recommend you go through a cashback site or wait for one of the half price offers to come up in the weekly email.
As an alternative, if you have good, unlimited/high usage allowance broadband you could consider NowTV from Sky and see if that is suitable for you.0 -
You can get Sky One from Sky or Virgin but it's a subscription channel on both...I'm a bit of a novice on here so apologies before I start. At the moment I only have freeview but want sky1- can I only get this channel with a sky box and subscription?
The only truly exclusive Sky Channel is Sky Atlantic...0 -
As the above poster says you can get Sky 1 through Now TV which looks great value at £4.99 a month (introductory price, not sure if this goes up at the end of the time period or whether it remains that price for the entire time you have it). You need a £9.99 box for Now TV which you can get through their site and i'm fairly sure I have seen them in Tesco as well. You also need an HDMI port on your tv and a wi-fi connection.
It's also worth looking at Virgin's prices. I think Sky 1 is included in their M+ package.0 -

sky now box is very good it broadcasts in 720p not 1080 i tbh its quite good unless you have to have 1080 i ,it is 720p definition to cut down on broadband use you must have unlimited broadband or be very stingy with what you watch if you have capped broadband, good news is it is not a 12 month subscription its monthly and looks very easy to cancel the box is based on the roku basic model you allso get bbci player,4od and 5 on demand plus lots of extras doubt if you will get netflix or lovefilm in the future but for 9.99 its very good :rotfl:0 -
Thanks everyone, delighted with responses and speed of them. I have a BT broadband (infinity) and phone package at the moment but I'm not tied in, I can't get virgin (used to have it before I moved). Would it be better to keep BT and just get Sky tv, (any problems with different broadband provider to tv package), or maybe change completely to Sky with a half price deal? Also think I'll check out now tv.0
