Why not use armoured Ethernet cable, you can use that with or without the trunking/hosepipe.One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0

Another vote for cable vs wifi, it may involve more work initialy such as drilling though a wooden window frame, door frame or a wall, or maybe finding another way out ( drain pipe etc) but in the long term it should be easier to set up, and be somewhat more reliable.
with the exception of the ethernet cable you may have the equipment you need to set this up already, as some old routers can act as cable routers as well as ADSL modems, saving money overall.0
