How to find a school friend

I have tried for about 10 years on and off to find my best friend from school.

She lived with me for her final 6 months of school to finish exams and then back to her parents - they moved during our last year.

After school we lost touch at college etc.

It was my aim to find her for my wedding last year but I didn't.

I have no address or date of birth, but know her old address before the family moved, but that was 22+ years ago.

Does anyone have any ideas what I could do to try and up my detective skills.

I've tried fb, friends reunited, speaking to joint school friends but with no luck.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

I found my school has a page on FB, some schools set them up , some school friends do, I found all my old school friends on there and I am going back 30 Years.

I just can't find her on there. She isn't on our school page and I've messaged loads from our year but as she moved away no one kept in touch.

She may be on under a married name but I have messaged a few who looked similar with the same first name but no success.

Do you know her field of employment?
Some professions have registers of qualified members.
I would even try contacting the "new" people at her old house, they may bring you one step closer.

Tried Friends Reunited? I spent an hour on there last night. I found a friend who I grew up with and I'd love to keep in touch with but I decided against it.

Have you tried contacting the school? They may have nothing but they might be able to help.

Do you know her married name? If not try looking on Free BMD for someone of her maiden name getting married or ask someone with ancestry membership if they can find anything.

Thanks all. I last knew her as a 16 year old, long before mobiles etc. I had her new home telephone number for about a year but then we lost touch. She may not be married, I have no idea.

I did think of writing to the people in her old address, but thought that may be seen as weird.... Pleased someone else mentioned it. And I will try the school also, hadn't thought of that.

Did she have any siblings you could find through FB or Friends Reunited? It's easier with a brother as they don't change surnames! Any cousins you can think of?

Also try linkedIn it's for listing your career details.

    Happy moneysaving all.
