Hi chums sis-in-law has just gone and house is quiet once more
:) she does talk rather loudly at times I'm sure she has a problem with her ears but she won't get them looked at from the Drs.:):) just shouts a bit
:)
Still she left me two boxes of books that she had aqquired for me to distribute.I have found a home for most of the ones she has given me in the past.DDs ma-in-law likes biographies so she gets a bagful, her Dd likes chick-lit so she is due for some more as well There were some nice cookery books which i will have a shufti at later on and some thrillers that my eldest DD will enjoy. The rest will go to the c/s unless I can find someone else who likes them.I'm pretty good at re-homng most things thougfh as I hate throwing stuff away if I can find someone else who might like them.:):):)
Just going to have sit-down and feet up for awhile and watch a movie I think.
Have a good day everyone ,still sun shiny here in Kent although a bit on the chilly side I have a line of washing blowing out at the moment which is nice as it always smells so nice when it comes indoors.
Cheers chums JackieO xxx0 -
Good Afternoon Everyone
Welcome Thriftkitten & Graduate-bum
Had a good time at the party last night, got up a little late and also been having a pj day. Really want to do something but cba at the same time
Having steak and kidney pie, mash and veg for dinner tonight, looking forward to it haven't had pie for ages.
That is it for me, I really don't have anything interesting to say at the moment :rotfl:
Hugs to anyone who needs one hope DD's ok Hester.x0 -
Beautiful here today.
I had a really bad night again and finally fell asleep at 5.30am. DH left me to sleep until 12.30pm  I feel really poorly at he moment both knees are swollen along with my ankles this morning and BG is stubbornly staying high even with the new tablets . Glad I am seeing the GP tomorrow, maybe he will know what is causing all of this.:(
I got to page ten of the DLA form yesterday, I had to put it down after that, my hands were not having a major writing sessiongoing to try another ten pages today, I also need to get in touch with my consultants and physiotherapist for letters to prove my disabilities
I will ask the GP for some help with the form tomorrow.
DH has told me to have a rest day and he has just put the beef in the oven for me, luckily I have some HM roasties, HM Yorkies and prepared brussels and carrots in the freezer, so dinner will be easy to do. I have put a second joint of beef in that can be sliced and put in gravy for when I have had my op . I have about a month's worth of HM ready meals in the freezer and I am just going to keep on top of it now, every time I cook something I will cook big batches and freeze them.
Hester I hope that DD is ok x x
Right I am off to tackle a bit more of that damn form
BFN xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hi all,
Didn't post yesterday, had a bit of a down day, not entirely sure why. It meant I didn't really get anything done either. I feel a bit better today, although I feel like I wasted half of my weekend
So far have stripped, washed and changed the bed, baked flapjacks and a quiche for next week's lunches, cleaned bathroom and kitchen and started making a list for my brothers overseas wedding in the summer to try and make sure I only buy things we really need to take with us.
Seems a few are having a quiet or duvet/PJ day, hope it does you all good.
Hester - hope your DD is ok, sending positive thoughts
Thriftkitten - welcome! We had rescue hens when I was a lodger a couple of years ago, fresh eggs and great entertainment watching them!
hello to graduate bum too :hello:
Butterfly Brain - so sorry that you are having such a tough time, hope you get some help from your GP
It was nibbles for lunch then fish and chips later (with YS fish fillets, oven ships and a side of veg to be a bit healthy!). Back to work tomorrow, going to be another busy week but I can't believe how quickly we're getting through January. That's very good news for me, I've started to notice it staying light slightly later in the evening and I am hoping that will help my mood.
Have a good evening everyone.

Evening all
Thanks for all the good wishes for DD, she is having a scan tomorrow to hopefully find out what the problem is, it's not the DD who's expecting twins, it's t'other one. She was my rock when I was ill, so I'll do all I can to help.
Not sure if I'll make it to work tomorrow as I'm feeling rough, I'll see how I feel in the morning, I don't think my request for reduced hours will be accepted, but I'll wait & see.
I'm finally managing some knitting, I've done half of the back of a baby cardie, but I'm off for a shower & an early night soon.

Evening
Had a lovely day, went to park, enjoyed the welcome sunshine, pottered around at home had just had a delish roast. Even made gravy from scratch only to be told DD doesn't like it and then DS (who had his usual instant gravy) didn't like his chicken. Meh not sure why I bother sometimes.
Anyway it's the usual Sunday evening wind down. Making sure uniforms are ready, lunches made and bath time for kids.
Nowt else to report.
Hugs and spoons all round xx
Hester hope your DD is OK and that scan reveals the problem so they can treat her. Hugs for you, feel better soon xx
BB hugs for you, you're having a really crappy time of it at the mo
Molly a PJ day sounds like a good idea, hope it helped x

Late one from me:D
Have been busy on date weekend;)
Have had a gorgeous family day today. Pottered around baking, had carpet picnic with Noah and Asher and watched Casualty on I player with Noah to satisfy his medical/doctor obsessions.
Had a roast turkey dinner which was delicious.
Have done accounts so am up to date with all that.
Bread made ready for tomorrow and washing etc up to date.
Just done yoga then had a relaxing scented bath with candles:D
Currently trying to get Asher settled to sleep:cool:
I'm still plodding on with paperwork for the LEA to challenge their decision re specialist provision for Noah.
Hester I hope DD is ok
BB sorry to hear you are feeling so poorly:( hope GP has answers tomorrow0 -
Evening all,
Am I last again? Hester hope your DD is ok.
Having a bit of a rubbish day. My legs aching and I'm fed up of sitting around feeling useless. I know it takes time but I wish it would hurry up.
Managed a walk half way down the street and back which has wiped me out and spent the rest of the day watching movies.
Dh fancies a Film later but it's not on until 11. I shall be fast asleep by then.
Just used My Hermes to post some eBay parcels. So easy and much cheaper than the Royal Mail, plus we can drop them at the local shop in a Sunday for collection so very convenient.
Just watching Mr Selfridge, can't say it's really grabbed me.
Have a good evening xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Returned did some washing drying an putting away of clothes.nthen got it into my head to clear out my wardrobes. That all done and bags for charity shop ready to be dropped off when hubby returns from offshore
Plans for tomorrow are to try to take it easy (which I struggle with)m
Dishwasher and washing machine will need to be on. May attempt to change the bed but takes about an hour as have to do it in stages
