I find making a budget really works, and I used to be skint 2 weeks before payday every month, now I end up with some left to pay towards debt.

Have to-do a budget and stick to it, last pay day I spent £350 in one week so was left with £50 :eek:plus money OH gave to me. Never will do that again shouldn't of overspent at Christmas. i'm focused:j:money:I find making a budget really works, and I used to be skint 2 weeks before payday every month, now I end up with some left to pay towards debt.

Hi - just had a read over you diary and would like to reiterate what the other peeps have said - good work on facing up to the debts now at only 19 and wanting to have a serious financial goal in order to get the best from life! I was a terrible teen with money! I even took out 2 crisis loans from the Govt when I was only about 18, which is ridiculous looking back!! I used to cash cheques left, right and centre and had numerous credit cards and loans. I did get completely debt free...actually, I've had to get debt free on more than one occasion! I'm actually back in debt now (approx £10k!!!) but started my diary only a week or so ago in order for me to get back in the black!!
I can't wait for payday on Friday either. This month for the first time, I'm going to budget! I'm literally going to withdraw my fuel, shopping and fun budget from the bank and stick it in separate envelopes. I think that will help me a lot as I can easily blow £300+ a week otherwise and then get stuck!!
Anyway, I'll subscribe to your diary and watch you leap out of debt!0 -

Hey thanks for reading
I think young people don't realise how bad spending and borrowing lots of money can be so they get into debt easily. You have got outta debt once so I'm sure you can do it again:j
I like the idea of withdrawing all your money and putting them in envelopes (might steal that idea):D
Thanks for subscribing and hope you can say bye bye to those debts soon :T0 -
Got a day off today :j
Spending it watching flims on Netflix with the OH
OH got paid today so he gave me £50 towards paying off the council tax from our previous flat than I will pay the remaining £68 which will mean that's one debt paid off
Spent the last £1 I had on a sandwich on my break because OH chucked my ham for my sandwich in the bin by accident .
A few days ago I put some of my old clothes on a local Facebook buy and sell page,so far noone has responded so going to re post them tonight:)
Going to get outta bed and make some scrambled egg on toast and have some coffee:A0 -
