If you got a refund without asking, you're one of the very lucky ones.
Maybe that company was deemed by Trading standards to be misleading people by their website and so decided to refund everybody.

Be wary about all sorts of similar services:

EHIC
passport renewal
tax return
etc
etc

I got taken direct to the page application page on the 'dvlalicensing' website from a google link. My downfall
