It's questionable that anyone who can't understand which website they're on would be bright enough to drive a vehicle.
.................:)....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Aren't there loads of examples though where people have ended up in fields because of sat-navs because they ignored the official road signs.

Stressed out by my house move, tired, frustrated and angered by the gov.uk site timing out several times, I should have given up and tried tomorrow. But I googled again, and clicked on the aforementioned site, which looked enough like the DVLA's, I thought from memory, for me to charge through it impetuously, abandoning all common sense. I've filled in their online form giving bank details for a refund within a couple of hours of my mistake on Sunday evening.

In my case, it's not so much the money - I messed up and sometimes that costs - it's all the personal information I've given to these people which could end up anywhere and result in identity fraud. (I've checked in the mirror and yes, it's true, I did see a doughnut, a picture of which will be now appearing on my new driving licence.)

PS - a couple of hours later, I've just tried the gov.uk website again and now at last it's working, so in the end my application to have a new licence with my new address has been accepted online direct...

they do provide a service.
like i could charge you to feed you, easily done yourself but, man, people can be lazy!
Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)

new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,000
• Yes, I'll be on the phone to my bank tomorrow. Normally, I'd never have been so plain daft, but stress, fatigue and emotion overrode common sense and led to a temporary aberration. Such is life, weakness is punished, one lives and learns, despicable though these people are.

Should that be cancel the licence?
• Interestingly I too fell victim of 'DVLA' (with a .co and a .uk) earlier this year.

Eventually (just as I was about to start complaining abpout the speed of service I got the following email -
'Thank you for your recent Online Driving Licence Application.
Please accept our apologies for the delay in response. DVLA (with a co and a UK) was closed over the Christmas and New Year holidays, as a result we have accumulated a backlog of emails.
We have reviewed your Online Driving Application and regret to inform you we have unfortunately been unable to to fufill your application request.
We have issued you a full refund of £69.00 which you can expect to appear on your statement in 5-10 days. Please note in any existing and future applications as per our Cancellations and Refund Policy, and Terms & Conditions payment your fee is non refundable.

We recommend to re-appy via the DVLA, direct details follow;

Apologies for any inconveniences

Kind Regards,

contact@dvlauk.
DVLAUK

I then pursued the matter with DVLA who pointed out (after a three week wait) that it was nothing to do with them. So I assumed I was poorer and wiser.

Just checked with credit card - the refund was made in full!

No. Do you have a lot of examples?
