I may be really thick here but please be gentle
At home have TV, Sky box and DVD player set up. DVD been playing up so replaced it. I simply unplugged SCART lead from old player to new player. Turn everything on and nothing - no sound, no picture, no DVD menu. What am I missing/doing wrong? Thanks.

Is there 2 scart sockets on the DVD player ?
Try just the dvd player connected to the TV.0 -
There is only one SCART lead on the DVD and that connects straight into back of the TV. All I have changed is the DVD player at the end of the SCART lead so logically I don't see why nothing comes up on screen.0

Tuning in the TV???!! What do you mean, the SCART inputs bypass the tuner all have to do is select the right input. Will probably come up as AV1, AV2 etc on the screen. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
