I'm surprised by the amount of people who felt the need to put you back in your place by daring to suggest it!0 -
I once had a win which had obviously been opened and resealed - it was a set of fridge magnets which were around the same size & shape as a gift card - imagine their diasppointment !!proud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

Uummm yes I would actually. And I have before.
Don't assume I wouldn't do something, you don't know me.
Yes I was wrong to accuse the postman, it was probably someone somewhere along the line though because the 'envelope' is a thick-ish plastic and the sealed end is still sealed.
It looks like the side has been cut/sliced open, there is no way it could have accidentally opened itself.
So huge apologies to the posties out there I know you're not all thieves (our last one was, he was found with over 2000 letters and parcels that weren't his in his home) and I recently had a large parcel stolen by a new, young postman and it was proven.
Would be your last delivery If it had been me0 -

Almost as keen as they were to put those grubby tradesmen in their place - which is pretty much what their first tirade sounded like.
The circumstances they then outlined do explain more why they might react like that - but none of us knew that then, and all I could see was a spoiled, unpleasant poster who apparently believes others are beneath them.
This is just my opinion but how happy would you be to be casually accused of theft just because you do a certain job.
Lastly - you were not exactly quick to defend them before they came back with an explanation - were you:cool:"If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you. "

Why should I be defending anyone on either side within a certain timeframe? I was just commenting, reading it through as an outsider to the situation, that I see a rather nasty thread, then I went to bed.
I've had stuff stolen in the post before, even recorded items, I've had items arrive where jiffy envelopes have been ripped open, whether accidental or not, plenty of postmen are convicted of theft even though hopefully most are honest - keeping an open mind myself, could be either way.0 -
It really is the Royal Mail that needs to get it's house in order and weed out their dishonest employees, I've also had recorded items go missing , and nearly always things I've ordered from Ebay. It's got to the stage where I now ask sellers to use a private courier if it's a bulky item, and when sending items I now use My Hermes or Collect+0

Do you understand what recorded was?0 -
Sorry this doesn't help, but can you send batteries in the post now? I thought they were prohibited goods.Free thinker.:cool:0
