taking sky down to a tenner a month

Hi

I need to save cash but still want to be able to record (bt sport mainly with my sky viewing card linked to my bt account as has been fine for months)

To get sky down to a tenner a month do I downgrade or cancel ? And after doing that will I still be able to record bt sport ?

Cheers
Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

It costs around £11 a month for a Sky+ subscription, which is what you'll downgrade to, but for this you'll only receive (and record) the Free-To-Air channels that you'd get if you cancelled completely. A separate subscription to BT Sport will be recordable.

Are you really prepared to pay Sky £130 a year just to enable recording?

I thought you wanted YouView? Which after an activation fee is £5 a mth. And at the end of the contract the YouView PVR is yours to keep too. For those that don't want Sky Sports on BT its a no brainer.

Note For accuracy - TalkTalks YouView service does provide all the Sky Sports channels (for £30 a mth).

If you need to downgrade to "recording only" you must do this IN WRITING using RECORDED DELIVERY to be certain that your request is processed by someone who knows what (s)he's doing. Otherwise you risk getting various negative responses from full cancellation to "not possible".
