As above, although I agree with your threads title and do feel sorry for you, it is well known, common sense, and regularly publicised that you should not leave valuables in your car, especially not highly nickable ones like satnavs and purses/handbags!!!!! Also, car parks/dog walking areas are exactly the sort of places that theives target.
I do hope they catch them, however there are unlikely to be any fingerprints or any DNA, the best chance is if they try to use any of the cards that you would have had in your purse or if any of the items are discovered on them during a stop and search.

My dad goes to work at 5am every morning and this morning he saw two men in a car right outside our house. There was a random key in the bag, luckily not my house key. The thieves weren't to know that thought. My dad took the registration number of the car so hopefully the police might be able to get somewhere!
Did you have your home address programmed into the satnav? You should never do this for exactly that reason, like you say, luckily it wasn't your house key!
My "take me home" button takes me to the general area.0 -

I was thinking the same...might be worth a wry smile if you program it to a police station0

My mate had his satnav 'take me home' set to Colchester Town Hall (I discovered this after buying it from him). Before anyone asks, he has no connection with the Town Hall, he chose it as it takes anyone who nicked it away from his real home.Never Knowingly Understood.
