New York Hotel Recommendations

  • No idea if it falls in the area your friend is looking for but would recommend radio city apartments just off times square. One bed apt sleeps 3/4 self catering 2 bed obviously gives more privacy. Self catering but hey, its new york and if you cant find enough places to eat over there your in the wrong place. You can stroll to just about everything from times square and you see a lot more than being in a cab (usually more pleasant as well)

Just come back from a fantastic 6 nights staying at Casablanca hotel on west 43rd st just about 40 steps from times square - yet inside you cannot hear a thing! No views though but then your not hotel much.

Read the reviews on tripadvisor - mine should go on tomorrow I hope but if you go into new york city forums and search for casablanca you will find plenty of info about it on there.

We also wanted a view when we initially started searching, but you are looking maga bucks for it and to be honest it really isn't worth it.

Try this link to my trip report, i posted my hotel report on there by mistake - too much copying & pasting

I second this we have used trip advisor for booking hotels in several places, just be aware that peoples expectations vary widely.
