Whats going on on Ebay Q&A Boards?

Has anyone else noticed how nasty some posters are to others on the ebay boards at the moment, I don't post just lurk but I am amazed by the open hostility shown by a select few towards anyone who dares to ask a q about a bad seller/dodgy feedback/shilling whether they be a newbie ebayer or a seasoned regular, any calm and reasoned discussion is quickly hijacked by the ' SSDD' brigade as they call themselves, one has even set up a website for this infantile logo.
Do ebay not care that such antics do more to damage their already tarnished reputation, it has been suggested on the boards that some regulars have been banned for innocuous posts while those who vilify continue to do so uncensored.
I would'nt dare ASQ on there now for fear of being on the receiving end of the ridicule and nastiness of these SSDD members.
No doubt others on here will disagree with me but that's the whole point of reasoned debate is'nt it? I am interestd in the views of others.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Speak your truth quietly and clearly;and listen to others, even to the dull and ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and agressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit

I used to hang out there a lot, but not recently... what on earth's SSDD?
The boards are pretty much unmoderated... except that users can report each others' posts, honestly or maliciously, and the US moderating company will remove them arbitrarily.
Much like ebay itself really. :rolleyes:My TV is broken!

The trouble is with Q&A... (well, actually, I feel a list coming on)
1. Sooo much traffic. Regulars who stay and chat all day, plus the passing newbies.
2. Lousy search function, and visitors who can't be bothered or are unable to search for the answer that they're after. Add that to the fact there's so much traffic, and many relevant posts get pushed off the first page within an hour.
3. Add 1+2 together and you get: the same questions asked, repeatedly. Yes, it does get tiresome, that's why I don't go there much these days.
4. You also get new posters who don't go there much and don't realise that the majority of posters there know the answers inside out. They fight back when the answer isn't what they want to hear, and the thread gets strung out into an epic.
5. Also, new posters who post with their selling ID. This leaves their listings open to scrutiny. If they are breaking any rules, beware! They don't usually appreciate this being pointed out, or having their listings removed. (Even when it's justified)
The good things about Q&A:
1. A number of extremely knowledgeable people, including RL legal professionals.
2. A couple of total paypal nerds who know paypal inside out and also are on friendly terms with the forums' tame paypal rep.
3. Ebay scammers getting their comeuppance, publicly. My TV is broken!

You're going to have to change your ID at this rate, fay: that post about Q&A was anything but frivolous. (More like forensic, if alliteration's important.)

If you want any sense over "there", you are best posting on the business or shop board. The q & a is a bear pit for the uninitiated."There is a light that never goes out"0

The other way of looking at it is that although you need to be prepared, choose your words carefully, and preferably lurk for a while beforehand to get the lie of the land, you're virtually guaranteed to have a reply within a minute.
It might be irrelevant, confusing, or downright rude, but you might get luckyMy TV is broken!
