What's the Best Tyre Brand?

Hi all,
It's come to the unfortunate time where I need to replace the tyres on my KA. I bought the car brand new so it currently has Michelin tyres on it - looking around they're not exactly cheap, so what tyre brand would you recommend.
I've been advised to use Continental tyres but they're still a little out of my price range. Ideally I wouldn't want to pay more than £80 per tyre.
Thanks!

Sorry just to add to this - I don't want part worn or second hand tyres!0

I may be on the wrong track here, but £80 for a tyre for a Ford KA seems a very high price. I paid £126 each for Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres for my Mk 4 Mondeo estate recently, and they really are massive tyres compared to those of a KA.
Personally, I don't think you can get better than Goodyear, and I would never touch Pirelli. Nor would I go for the cheap East European or Far East tyres which have about as much grip as liquid custard.
A good Google search will soon bring up the best deals from a variety of sources - tyre dealers, Black Circles, etc."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. We shall never see their like again". O S Nock0 -
What size are the tyres? If it were mine, I'd go for a mid-range brand such as Kumho or Hankook. They'll be less expensive than Michelin or Conti, but more than sufficient for a Ford Ka.0

Toyo for a Ka will be a reasonable price, good tyres too. They are now fitted to new cars, which never used to be the case.0

I just had some Kumho KH31s fitted yesterday and they are excellent.
Use etyres.co.uk for prices and tyrereviews.co.uk for, well, tyre reviews.0 -
Also depends on the style and type of driving. Thrashing up and down motorways in all weathers I'd go for top quality, pootling round town I would go with the cheapest, a mixture of the two I'd go for the mid range mentioned above.0

Camskill's website is about the best I've found for comparing at a glance what brands/prices there are in any given size. Worth a look at that.
Conti are good, but I've found 'em to wear quite quickly. When you figure the cost per mile, they're probably more expensive than Mich.0 -
Ok lovely - Kumho, Hankook & Goodyear seem to be the favourites. They definitely look more affordable!
Thanks for all the advice0 -

Another vote for Toyo. I've standardised on them for both my cars and have been very satisfied with the price/performance. You're getting a top class tyre for a medium quality price - largely because they can't charge the big brand premium in this market.0 -
What size are they?
I fitted Toyo's to my daughters Yaris (195/50/15) which were £35 new each from Ebay (reputable supplier) and about £10 to fit, and have had no complaints.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
