Sorry to bump but I just figured out a quicker way to log in.

I was logging in using the 'log in' link at the top right of their page, and it would always take me back to the general home page. This meant I then had to find the comp again.

This time, I used the direct link and logged in via the yellow 'log in' button next to where you write your answer. After logging in it then returned me back to the actual competition page.

Much easier!

I'm sure loads of you already know this but, equally, there will be people like me who don't know and who were doing it the hard way!
