Well done on the weeding.
I really want to do a bit in my garden, but the weather is always bad at the weekend when I'm off (or I'm off doing something).
So can't wait for lighter nights when I can spend a bit of time pottering.

I think the joys of spring may be threatening to return. Both the sky and the mood in the office seem lighter today0

MCI, that's one of the reasons I count myself very fortunate in working from home (because I never planned it, I didn't work towards it) - even when I was working, there was often time to get out into the garden. You wouldn't know, of course, because there's a lot of what I'm calling "planned devastation" out there as the after effects of pruning the laurel, but I'm hopeful :rotfl:
Ed, I hope so! Very rainy here down south, very grey, but again, because I'm at home, I could get rained on and get in the warm straight away/get changed, it was fine. And my rhubarb plant, the well established one, is now six inches tall again2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
OOOhhh rhubarb! I will need to check Mum's plant - can't wait till we can start picking again.

:hello: Hello again!
:hello: I'm back :coffee:
Trains notwithstanding - accidents on the line, points failures, blocked platforms, I had it allI'm just glad I didn't have to travel in the snow.
Lots of work done - scanning family photos, charity shop donations, recycling centre (the one up there is tiny, positively cute compared to the ginormous thing I go to here at home) dividing stuff up so that we know who's taking what, and most important, the probate forms - brother and I worked through them, now to give my sister time to do the same, and they can go off to the district office. What a palaver ....
Here - same old, clearing hedges and decking, plus weeding and sorting paperwork.
I spent £20 Bonusbond vouchers in Iceland :j got until the end of Feb to spend the last £5. Boy, prices have gone up recently - my pesto used to cost £1, now it's £1.25
Teeny tiny snowflakes round here, so I'm glad I got home before them. Another "work" day today, trying to get things sorted, but first definitely a pootle about the boards, I do love mse2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
pootling around the boards too on account of the snow slush wet rain hereMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Hi Watty! Same here, yes - it's very slowly melting, and not much of it ever stuck, but it's now a drizzle, and I'm just not going to do anything out there right now :rotfl:
What I *would* like to do is saw up the 15 foot long trunks of holly tree, and put them in what will become the wood storage shed (aka the broken wooden shed). They're plonked on top of my winter savory, and I'd like to weed it/pick a bit to use, and give it a chance to grow.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Welcome back! I too noticed that prices of food items that I usually buy have increased quite significantly since last month. Not just one or two items either.0
