    Congratulations on your retirement!

Have a restful few days now whilst it all sinks in!

You've reminded me we need to go blackberry picking, we usually leave it too late. Time for some family walks.

Thank you all :) and yep, you're right MCI - even on a Sunday morning (if not a bank holibob :) ) I'd have been thinking, right, one of the difficult sessions tomorrow. That's what stress is like, sadly.

Now? I was in bed for over 7 hours and only woke up once. Bliss, utter bliss :)

I may get round to doing a few things today - updating the website to take my contact details off is actually fairly important, I don't mind doing that, though I have to be careful about the wording of "I'm retired now". Otherwise, if I do anything, it's tidying up the patio and a bit of pruning, it's more pleasant out there this morning.

And yes, I may go blackberrying instead :)

    Hello taka :hello:

Thank you for the lovely celebrations in that there post :j I had a mooch as to where you'd been posting all this time, and it sounds like you've taken a good long break? Hope you've been off enjoying living your life - this is such a long haul, even I've taken breaks from time to time :)

I certainly took a break today from doing anything :D and had a dvd going in the background to check it ran properly - £2 for 22 episodes of a fave tv show of mine, can't be bad.

Lots of showers here, so the only things I've actually done are to clean some plantpots, tidy some paperwork, update (aka delete) my contact details on the work website, and tidy away the insulation all over the therapy room window (okay, I stacked it by the front door - and now one more potential source of black mould is revealed :D its odd it gets like that, as the window is open about 60% of the time, but it has. No longer!

Ooh, sounds like you're having lovely pottering days :D

One of my colleagues the other day was saying how he hadn't taken all of his holiday days because he couldn't think what to do with them  Gosh, I could retire now and fill ALL of my days without doing a single ounce of work or housework ever again - there are so many interesting things to do in the world! I think I just stared at him, didn't know what to say :o :rotfl:

Sounds like you are finding plenty of cheery things to fill up your time :) Bargain DVD too, love it when that happens! :j

Heavens yes! I'd have stopped working years ago if not for the money  it sounds like the work-life balance of your colleague has definitely got a bit out of kilter ...

I'm definitely pottering - catching up on sleep, recovering from the fatigue business, slowly clearing and cleaning. Found another spot that needs cleaning before I put the curtains back up - the top of the batten that holds the curtain rail :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I've never, ever cleaned up there :D

Today, all I want to do is look after the garlic and the perennial onion/Welsh onion - dry/replant/rescue as necessary. I just ordered a Sainsbo delivery as well, squeaked into tomorrow's deliveries for the usual £1 charge :j and it gets x 3 the nectar points, tomorrow's the last day.

SHS, the DVD was Burn Notice Season 2 - Ed described it as being a modern McGyver? It's set in Miami, it's very beautiful, and the lovely Michael Shanks has a 4 episode arc in there. It's quite old, filmed back in 2009, but you wouldn't know it, and I love that series.

I might need to check my mobile phone account today :( had a spam text yesterday, which I'm not used to - "Netflix" saying they're having trouble renewing my subscription. As I don't *have* a subscription, I reported it ...

Not me, although I am probably the only person in the history of this board ever to discuss MacGuyver?

I take it life as a retired fat cat is treating you well? ;) <<<--- For the avoidance of doubt, this winking smiley indicates a joke and signifies that the preceding comment was not a joke about a) KC being a member of the faceless 1%, or b) fat. Not that there's anything wrong with being fat.

Damn internet PCness rules, I'm going to stop now....
