OTOH, loving the peanut butter tip! That might be the clincher for me.

Phew ... I may need a second cup of coffee today :hello:

    Gardening.

Solar kettle is on. I found a diagnostic thingy on it, to tell you how hot the water is - the little button on the top gets hot :j

I did all that for O level too :D but just like in China today, I also soon understood that for the first few generations of factory workers, living standards *fell* compared to their ancestors in the countryside. Just like when agriculture developed - those first agriculturalists were shorter and less healthy than their hunter-gatherer forebears...

    They don't tell schoolchildren everything!

if you can eat and have smooth peanut butter that can be used instead of tahini I understand (I'm allergic so never tried!!)

That's a good idea, would work for me, as it's probably lower in sodium.

I love getting new ideas for food.

    It's good here:T

Hmmm - didn't know there was sodium in tahini - thought it was just ground sesame seeds! - I've got to be more careful reading labels!

...but then again I too have a peanut allergy so that option is off the books for me...

I've heard there is a lot of sugar in peanut butter or is that just the stuff we get across the pond?

These are the two I remember avoiding as a kid...

Meridian do a peanut butter that's 100% nuts, only something like 0.4g of sodium per 100g. You'd really struggle to eat that much peanut butter :)

Oh my! Our little 340g jars look a bit feeble compared to those, don't they!

My Waitrose Essentials Smooth Peanut Butter is 93% peanuts, 7% sugar, salt and palm oil (oops - I think they're phasing it out).

It really is good here, Goldie's right :) I'm reclaiming the garden from the strawberry plants-that-refuse-to-fruit, and its looking better. By the patio, anyway :)
