Aw! How lovely to come on to all those messages and psychic energy :) thank you all so much, that means a lot :A

I feel a lot better today, had a great natural sleep last night - still not good, to be honest, but as long as I take it really easily, I'm on the way back up, rather than down. I've got one session (varying lengths) on Wed, Thur and Fri, and then I've booked a week's holiday. I've got the washing machine delivery and installation on Sat, insulation inspection on Tues - I was going to see my mum, but I don't think I'd better, and I *was* going to a funeral in London on Weds, but I don't think I'd better do that either :( and that'll be a tricky letter to write.

The only thing to do, really, is focus back on health, and remember to take one day off a week when I do very, very little, just pottering, even if what I'm tempted to do is fun.

Still, RT has a bright spot here, paying off one debt completely :j:j:j thats great news hon!

Today is more taking it easy - check on the banking in a bit, go and breathe some fresh air, have a nice hot shower. That sort of thing :)

Afternoon all :) I've not even done what I said I was going to do :o though I *have* refreshed Firefox - it had nearly frozen, wasn't doing me or the lappie any good, and its better now, though not perfect. Hey ho.

Right. What shall I do? Big adventure - empty food waste into the compost bin and take the rubbish out, see if I'm still quivering

    Nope :j

I got out there and its just beautiful this afternoon. Looked around the garden for something not too serious that I could do, something that was a small step towards the greater scheme ... aha!

Once upon a time, there was a huuuuge sedge six feet from my kitchen window - self seeding, unpleasant, unloved by local insect life. I killed it, dear reader, over the course of two years admittedly :o but I was lurgified when it finally died, so all these self-sown strawberry runners grew up in the dead leaves. How nice, you may say - well, not when they're one per square inch they're not! And dozens of runners crossing over each other, and dead goosegrass over all of that - horrible!

And its now gone :j:j:j because they were lodged in dead leaves, most of them came out pretty easily at first, though I had to be careful of the later roots, because there were worms in there - had to put them somewhere safe

Its almost two square yards, so its not finished by any means, but there's a nice space there now, and I'll be able to see where the new ones come up, so I can nab them quickly :rotfl:

What to plant? I'm leaning towards another lemon balm, to use in my home grown pesto; anyone got any other ideas? Its got to have edible uses (so no willow, Cheery, sorry!). And its got to be perennial, because of my mad energy levels; liking clay soil is also necessary :)

:coffee: am v happy now - a snack and a sit down, I think.

Not perennial admittedly - but how about just chucking some nasturtium seeds down - edible flowers and seeds, and very pretty as well :T

    'oo yoo kallin' weird, yoo!

    :D

Also been booking hotel rooms in Ypres, for the Menin Gate visit etc. Only just did it in time - I was racing about Ypres website, prices were going up and up, only one room left in the first 3 hotels :rotfl: 78 hotels in such a tiny town! Place must be ringing, the whole year!

Off to bedfordshire now ... night night all.

I was thinking of you and other MFW early retirement wannabes when reading up on the Budget KC.

If it comes to pass, the proposed first £1,000/year in savings interest tax free will effectively give you all a pay rise assuming you have enough cash savings to take advantage?

With incremental increases in the personal and ISA allowances, it is looking a lot easier to be tax dark these days

That said, it's a pretty glaring display of moral hazard, no doubt the banks will slash rates paid in cash because the govt. is proposing giving 20% back! :rotfl:

Hi ed! Yep, I've just heard about (I'm late to the party, cleaning etc this morning then my big long piece of work) ... I wonder how the finances of it will work? I agree the banks won't reduce their own income, will they get reimbursed? Hmmm!
