It's only a fairly recent development, Cheery Daff. I've 'lost' so many interesting and important hints and tips especially on MSE and have wasted so much valuable time trying in vain to find them over the years:mad:. I've learned the hard way:o0

The age 25 thingis also getting a bit easier these days because cousins' children, as well as niece and nephews, are in their 20s and 30s ... in fact, my brother's oldest will be, um, 39 next year :eek::eek: so she's getting more used to thinking of us lot as older than that :j

I really must check that email in more detail. I'll put it on my year plan for next year!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ended up seeing the most amazing GP - listened, asked my opinion, wasn't interested in just ticking boxes - it was an astounding experience! Blood tests next week (and the number of organs being tested suggests a vampiric experience
) I might just see my way through with this.
Hopped into town afterwards, to do banking, buy a few more Christmas cards. BHF have got a really old fashioned range, but they've got a lot of new designs too, modern ones, I was impressed by the way they managed to keep something for the old dears, but stay in touch with the main market.
Nice and warm now, had an early lunch and the w/m is on; my focusses are:
- keep on with a bit of tidying and extra cleaning. Also with taking care of myself (studying reiki, in particular).
- take a few photos for the book - I need to muck about with a front cover too!
- just checked the weather forecast - I'd still love to be able to plant the garlic in that bed I prepared, its all ready for the bulbs. Tomorrow's forecast looks best, 7 degrees , I'll just avoid the windy bits.
- work on a couple of drafts for blog posts.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Good news on the pension pot front! My SSE shares are worth £300 more than I've listed them in the pension pot spreadsheet
I know shares can go up as well as down, but I'm sticking this one in the mse sig
Today's list:
[STRIKE]- washing machine cycled, stuff is drying.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]- keep on with a bit of tidying and extra cleaning.[/STRIKE]
Opened today's post (got to do it daily at Christmas!), finished shredding.
- taking care of myself (studying reiki, in particular).
Just about to shut down the computer and do a bit of this
- take a few photos for the book - I need to muck about with a front cover too!
Nope, but I've done a lot of other admin - asking permissions for names, numbering, that sort of thing.
[STRIKE]- work on a couple of drafts for blog posts.[/STRIKE]
Published one, it was more or less readybut I'm glad its out there
[STRIKE]- banking [/STRIKE]
Not bad for a few hours ... I'll do more offline. Might even wrap some presents.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ooh, that percentage in your sig is looking good! :j
Hooray for a decent docs experience. Hope the blood tests find something easily solvable xx0 -
Thanks Cheery! Yes, something easily solvable would be the thing, wouldn't it :rotfl:in the meantime, vitamins, good eating, reiki, getting enough sleep, I'll do what I can.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Great that the doctor was so good and listened and is doing checks!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

Afternoon all! Hometime for the people working in offices, but I'm sitting in my own little office, fleece on my knee, and an itch in my throat ... sigh ... I've been trying to dose it away, we'll see if it goes.
I was haunting the Pensions Board on here yesterdayand came across an interesting post on a short query thread; post was from jamesd, and I didn't want to hijack there, so I've put the stuff here, the stuff he inspired me to think about  Thats coming up in a bit when I've had a cuppa tea.
