Aww, Karmacat, what an awful day you had. So sorry you had to miss a planned treat, you really deserved one. Will you be able to reschedule your birthday meal, it's such a busy time of year for everyone?
Sending virtual hugs and cuppas your way:kisses3::coffee::coffee::coffee:0 -
Thank you honey! We won't be able to re-schedule in the same way, no ... I'll see my sister a couple of times over the next few weeks, though, and the young couple who came down from London have offered open house on a day of my choosing

so I choose end of January
Interesting tip - the pub lunch place was less than half full - everyone's out shopping at this stage
so you know what to do next year.
It was a bad day, I confess - but the bloodied trousers have been through the washing machine  the knee has stabilised, and after the initial immune rush, I think its a good stage to start taking anti-inflammatories again; plus reiki, lots of veg, lots of supplements, and a half hour walk in the fresh air. Will finally book a doctor's appt too - "lack of energy" is too woolly for a doc to get their head around, but to say "I couldn't cope with a 6 hour level 1 reiki training day" is specific enough to give them ideas.
Christmas present shopping is done, btw, and half the wrapping is done too, both of which astound me  The loss of the celebration yesterday is upsetting, but its the final straw in knowing that I have to sort this all out, as soon as I can.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Ouch

Hope you're feeling a bit better.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Oh no, I'm really sorry to hear that you've been having such a bad time of it over the last couple of days, and to miss a celebratory meal as well, that is so disappointing.
The vertigo is rotten, when I had it in the summer all I could do was lie down until it passed.
Totally agree with your approach, to let yourself heal, but a trip to the docs sounds like a good idea
Hope you are having a nice early night, which is what I should be doing, especially as I've been out for the day.Early retired - 18th December 2014

So sorry to hear about your fall Karma and such a shame to miss your birthday meal. I hope the knee is healing and you've gotten over the shock.
