alliance and leicester

There have been a few posts on here recently regarding alliance and leicester and how people have got full accounts even with a poor credit history. I applied, and was rejected, have got my rejection letter today. Is it worth me appealing?
I have one CCJ (paid in full about a year and a half ago) and 3 defaults that are being paid, but still with balances.

Over the past two years, i have managed to get my finances sorted, and am making a good dent in clearing them. Would just like a full account, as currently i only have a basic one with Lloyds. Which is good, but without a debit card.

Anyone have any experience of appealing to alliance and leicester?

And its the Premier Current account without an overdraft i have applied for!

I earn around £25,000 a year, and have a total of around 5k worth of debt.

hi dan dan,i sent everything i could find bills,wages slips and got a premier direct ac but no od.

the address i used was the account opening one
po box 645
liverpool
l69 8hf.

i was pretty honest regarding debts in the past ect.

very bad, unsat ccj s, ect.

but job for last 2 years and regular income.

i tried every account and could not even get a basic account.

My mate doesn't have any credit problems and still got rejected.

I've been rejected too, but am going to appeal. Did your mate appeal too? And was this recently?

Yes: he didn't get anywhere. Basically, I guess if they don't want your business then that's it, really. It was about 6 momths ago.

Well, for those that are interested i have sent off my appeal with some supporting documents (bank statment, copy of passport, bill, P60 etc) so will see how it goes. I am not holding out ANY hope though but will keep you posted.

Well, its been a week now, and still not heard anything. Not sure if thats good news or bad news. Really dont think i will be given an account though!
