Hi guys, so I have a renault clio campus and the management light is on, car seems to be misfiring and it sometimes cuts out!!!

I was told I needed a particular part, but I'm not sure which is the correct one I need to get on the eurocarparts website.

The part i need is a MAF sensor, which is located near the inlet manifold?

Would this be it?

thanks

You need a better diagnosis before you start throwing parts at it, it could just as easily be anything else from an air leak to a dying ecu.

The mechanic plugged in that diganosis tool thingy into the car and he said it's deffo the maf sensor or something like that, showed me under the bonnet and i beleive it's this:

What model, engine size and year is the car? Few code readers read MAF faults other than an electrical failure, which you can replicate by just disconnecting the electrical plug to it. In fact most decent techs, would have disconnected the MAF and seen if it ran better (relying on the broad parameters held in the ecu in case it receives duff info. from a broken sensor).
If your desperate to change the MAF, get one from an ebay trader with a good reputation, your intended provider is more likely to send a ham sandwich instead of the right part.

Well that indeed is the correct MAF sensor for a 2007 Renault.

Don't blame me if it doesn't fix your problem though.

It's a renault clio campus 1.1 56 reg, the mechanic is certain this is the fault, it certainly believe it is also tbh.

Cutting off at random times, poor fuel economy, dash says only getting 25.5mpg, car experinces loss of power, like a lag, then all of a sudden everything seems to woosh forward if you know what I mean.

Also when I went to check out the issue, the car hardly experienced this when he checked the car out, when I left the garage, the car was cutting out every 400 yards.

Good luck then - let us know how you get on. :)

If you decide to get the part, plug the some part number into www.carparts4less.co.uk and you'll find it's £45.54.(Same company by the way)

Or you need a coil. My sisters megane has gone through 3 of them now. Only 1 left to replace.

Or is it a coil pack on your engine?

Thanks J for pointing that out, went to carpart4less and ordered it.

Not sure if has coil/coil pack on the car, but we'll see once this get's fitted.

Previous owner/owners have sure not looked after the car.
