How much would be the renovation cost of this bungalow?

I would have a builder look over it and see what needs doing first. If the electrics are ok and the boiler/heating then I would strip all the carpets out and put as much as I could into one room and do things as and when I could.
Not sure how many of you there are or your age and capability.
You can source most things via eBay to keep costs down and just pay for fitting or do it yourself.

For instance I have just repainted, and still in the process of some of it, our new house. Painting every wall, ceiling, door, skirting board. If I were to get someone else to do it I am sure would have cost £1000s just for the labour involved.
Am doing most of it myself and just the cost of the paint, brushes etc.[/QUOTE
My brother can do all the decorating, painting etc..0 -

It has the old type of floor central heating system.
Not sure what this is - can you clarify?
In any case putting in a gas/oil boiler and radiators is likely to be expensive. The point that one of the other posters made about purchase price + cost of renovations not going above the ceiling value for the street is really important. One of the bedrooms with window into the conservatory is not a plus - although it might be possible to knock a window through - probably cost a few hundred pounds.
You may find it helpful to go round the property and make a list of what needs doing. Then set up a spreadsheet and cost everything up. Ring round local tradespeople for estimates. Then do the sums and see if it is worth it both from a financial and hassle point of view. It really is worth working it out in detail at this stage.
It is hard to say for many of us as we don't know the cost of labour in your area. Flooring is a bit easier - just go onto one of the carpeting sites with the size of each room, choose the flooring you want and then add in the cost of fitting and delivery. Does the property need new windows and doors? It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

Thanks for all your help guys.
I had a viewing yesterday after assessing the property, there is a lot of work involved. Doors needs to changed, floorboards, cracks in the ceiling, re-wiring etc... and to be honest it will definitely go beyond my budget.
What a shame, the location was perfect.0
