Leaving HL without transfer charges

What is annoying is that there is no way of seeing on HL's website how many units I had as nothing appears in the transaction history. Did everyone take screenshots of their holdings?
I took a screenshot and glad I did. They gave II an incorrect valuation - listing a fund I didn't hold and missed off one I did.0 -

I used the "Download to spreadsheet" option for all of my HL accounts. Was then able to confirm that the correct number of units had arrived at ii......although the funds appeared on both HL and ii systems for several weeks (two are still showing with HL despite it being a good few weeks since they appeared with ii), so didn't really need the spreadsheet!'Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. I'm late to the party, I know!
Only just sent a complaint letter today
Noticed that a lot of people are transferring in specie (think that's right!), so have you all had the £25 per stock fee waived or refunded?
I have crunched the figures and for me seem there is a worthwhile benefit to transferring S&S ISA and SIPP to iWeb. But for the ISA, because of the £25 per stock fee its better for me to transfer as cash. I don't want to miss the 2nd June deadline for change in fees.
Now do I wait to see if they come back with a better deal or even waive stock transfer charge, or plough ahead selling and transferring as cash?0 -
Surely being on MSE is all about penny pinching! Save every penny you can, never mind the odd £100. But I absolutely take your point in the bigger picture. Think I will go for a mix of buying into a few core finds/IT shares at the start and rebuilding the rest of the portfolio over the next two quarters. Still slightly disappointed II won't offer the trades on transfer on for a sizeable portfolio, but that seems to be their firm stance. HL's loss, in the end ...0

Most of us who formally complained have letters waiving all exit charges providing they receive the transfer request within a given time frame (mine was 1mth). I was charged the platform fee but it's since been refunded, I've not been charged a stock fee (or 15 ) and hopefully won't be charged the account closure fee either, assuming my transfers don't complete this month.Bossymoo

Thanks for the confirmation - how long after you sent your complaint did you get fees waived? Rather transfer the stock rather than cash, wondering whether to wait or do you think it might be to close to the 2nd June deadline?

Has anyone anywhere had a formal complaint that hasn't led to waiving charges?
I know there are a few 'complaints' that HL didn't register as formal complaints but everything I have read suggests that every formal complaint leads to waived fees.
Which is rather underhand.0 -
Just in case it is useful to anyone else :
- Initiated move from HL on 30th January (in specie)
- Unwrapped came across yesterday (8th May)
- SIPP not yet showing any signs of movement
- No fees charged
They wrote to me confirming the transfers shortly after I initiated them, I have not chased at all.
Hope this gives others some idea of what to expect.0 -

No you're right, I've not heard of any that were acknowledged as a complaint that haven't been waived.Bossymoo

My ISA money arrived in my IWeb account today, exactly two weeks after I put the transfer form in the post. Not too bad. I didn't really want to be 'out of the market', but decided to take the risk. I sold my last funds on the day I posted the transfer form, so settlement wouldn't slow things up later. HL even CHAPSed the money to IWeb, which was nice of them!0
