I'll be making some soup shortly,we had roast chicken yesterday and made the stock last night after stripping the carcass.I'll use the lo chicken for sandwiches at lunchtime and poss risotto tomorrow.I also have some sweet pastry to use up,I have a jar of mincemeat left,or bramley apples, decisions decisions...

Trying to keep on top of the housework, and doing small areas of decluttering when I get a minute .I have far too much bedding now that DS2 isnt here so sorted the linen cupboard, and towels and have a pile for charity.

I've printed off the reclaim forms off here for pp i for my dog walking neighbour. She's not very pc savvy & her son only has a small tablet and no printer-lets hope she gets some money back :)

Ok off to do my chores,again....perhaps another cuppa first

    Hi everyone,

Well, after having a very frugal couple of weeks I really let myself go yesterday. I had to go out to the opticians and went in TK Maxx which is always fatal for me. In my defence most of the things I got were for DS and DD and the three things I got were items that I had planned to get when I saw the right thing.

I also got some picture frames from Cargo, they were half price so a real bargain and I managed to frame a picture I've had for about 5 years now. I also want to make a picture wall of old family photos that I've got for the house in Yorkshire.

On the plus side I didn't spend much on the food shopping I needed.

Today I shall spend framing more pictures, hopefully going to the bank with a cheque we've been expecting since Tuesday, grrr and packing.

    Have a good day everyone.
  • TTFTM - did you not take £20 for a small treat? That's what I did when I was made redundant... Just a small treat :)

We have a favourite family restaurant where all 4 of us, DH, DD and DGD, can eat for around £35. That is our treat this weekend :)

    Morning all,

Is everyone having a lie in :D
TTFTM well done on your your redundancy glad things are coming together for you, fingers crossed you sleep tonight x
BB hope you feel better today x
LW Thankyou for the advice re physio, I'm definitely doing it from home and they can like it or lump it.

I've got the district nurse coming today, staples out, yuck, be glad when it's done.
Going to do some crochet now I'm feeling more myself. Managed another eBay sale and listed 6 more items.
Hubby is out at a business meeting, dinner tonight so I might have a fish from the chippy.
Not much else, have a good day x
Ha ha, no lie-in for me; I have to get up with Mr LW, as he has to help me bathe and dress before he leaves for work.:A But I do try and get some tasks done before I switch on the netbook - I let Jessie out for a quick wee, gave her some brekkie, washed up our brekkie things plus Jessie's bowl, put the infrasound device on the most painful joints, did half hour very light exercise on the WiiFit, poo-picked the garden, took Jessie for a proper walk (past the poo-bin, to dispose of the poo from the garden;)), opened the mail that arrived an 12:45 - and now here I am.:o

I'd have thought they'd be glad you want to do your physio at home - saves you traveling to the horse-piddle, and they don't have to arrange a room and a time-slot for you; a win-win situation, I'd say.:o It goes without saying that you'll be assiduous about doing the prescribed exercises, of course.;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon :)

Just taking a break from sanding. Luna was walked in mud bath aka the fields this morning, so sick of all this rain.

Had to avoid a meltdown of DS this morning about an incident that happened in school. He was sobbing last night in bed saying how he wants to kill himself again :( managed to get him onto the premises and had quick chat with people in the know so am hoping he calms down. This all over losing 5 minutes of break time because he's disruptive in PE (I think the class is too unstructured for him and it's outside so he ends up being like a bottle of pop). So will book an appointment with head and SENCO and see what we can do to stop him getting into trouble.

Anyway got stuck into sanding down skirting boards in DS's room with a bit of luck and getting my butt into gear I may be able to start and finishing painting in there ready for weekend to paint the walls. It's an plan at any rate :rotfl:

Hugs and spoons all round xxx

TTFTM hope you get a decent nights Kip ASAP x

  • Afternoon All.
I have been AWOL this week, due to te fact my tablet wouldnt let me post anything (dont know why but seems to have sorted itself out).
Made 2 more loaves today and sliced them and now i am just waiting for class to finish so i can set the hall up for an event this evening.
Dinner tonight is cottage pie already cooked so just needs serving and nuking in the microwave.
I have been asked by a friend to make her 60th birthday cake so must check out the web for a decent cake topper for her.
Other than the norm not much happening in this part of the woods .
    Hugs to all xx
    Bright Blessings xx
  • Hello all... Been away for a few days as my tablet broke down :( it never rains it pours, well we cannot afford to get it repaired yet so I'll have to make do with dh's pc, I normally cannot work out how to use the blooming thing but he gave me a lesson on it last night.

Spoke to my sister last night I was having a whinge about mould growing on the walls in the porch, she mentioned pop thick neat bleach on it, leave it for an hour and then wipe if off she swears by it, I'm not so sure but I thought I'd give it a go, so that is what I've been doing most of the day now the smell of bleach is stuck up my nose, its awful.

Tea tonight is omelette for us, I'm on day 8 of the diet, doing well so far, got weighed yesterday and lost 3ibs, which I'm really chuffed about... just need to stay away from the biscuit tin!

Anyway, I'm off to take the dog for a walk before it starts getting dark.

Hope you've all had a good day..((hugs)) to those that need them xx

  • Afternoon:D

Busy morning. Bread rolls proving, huge batch of tomato sauce in slow cooker, cauliflower cheese meals portioned up for freezer for baby, cheese sauce portioned up in freezer, tea prepped, cake made and 2 loaves:T
House clean and washing up to date.
Have replied to many emails and phone calls re appeal for Noah's IR place. After much pressure from me school are resubmitting their evidence to take into account his huge anxiety, worsening mental health and suicidal issues....also the fact that CAMHS think he may have Bipolar which is strongly linked with autism and ADHD.
Educational psych having a meeting with me and Senco and class teacher and one to one plus behav psych at end of Jan to work out the way forward.
Am hoping I can get it sorted without court and huge expense:eek:

He apparently had a huge meltdown in school as he was expecting spag Bol at lunch and for some reason they had pizza... He likes pizza but its not pizza day;)
S he had to be taken out of hall and is now starving as although a teacher made him some toast it wasn't really lunch.

This afternoon DH had finished his jobs for the day by 1pm so he took over housework, made me a cup of tea and cake and sat me infront of Greys Anatomy for some Dr Alex therapy;):p
We are still both shattered, after 8 hours of sleep over 7 days last week this week is proving no easier. Asher finally fell asleep at 1am and napped on and off till 4 when she woke fully again:o I have a feeling we may have some ASD or ADHD issues as she has many of the quirks Noah had as a baby.....it's too soon to tell yet so we shall see....it won't be a shock put it that way:p
  • Had some really hefty rain here this afternoon and it is turning quite nippy so I have just lit the fire.

    NPM positive vibes x x

Saw the nurse this morning and she called one of the Doctors in, he doubled all of my drugs and I have to go back on Monday :( They are happy with my BP which is "excellent", my food diary is good and they are happy with what I am eating, but I have put on 4lbs, they said that could be the rise in BG or the drug that I am on :( neither of them can understand why I am spiking because I have not had any appetite for weeks.

Oh well I will see what happens on Monday.

Julie, stick to your guns about physio, it costs me £4 a week in parking at the hospital and I have a blue badge

Dinner tonight is freezer roulette, I have no appetite so I don't even want to cook :(

    BFN x

    Afternoon all,

Miserable day here again, not as cold but drizzle most of the time.

Went to Argoose as had a voucher, bought covers for new car and thingy to keep boot clean....OH will fit them when we get suitable weather, want to keep new smell in car as long as possible.

Dinner today has been pork chop (4 for €3.20) with chips, cabbage, green beans and mushrooms....no pudding as neither of need one.

Hugs to all with problem of any kind, hopefully they will pass soon.

    Stay safe and warm.

    Marie
