Despite being told last night, CATEGORICALLY, that it would NOT be collected today, the couriers arrived.
!!!!!! is happening at Littlewoods?
And, having been forwarded the email between Littlewoods & Arrow XL I can now see that the courier did NOT say that they had spoken to me. They stated that they had tried to contact me but had only left messages. So why was my M-I-L told that the couriers had DEFINITELY spoken WITH me, by Littlewoods?
Coincidently, having checked my voicemail & my home answer machine, there are no messages at all.
I've given up trying to understand what is happening with this situation. I've given up trying to get a straight answer from Littlewoods.
And I've definitely given up using Littlewoods. I strongly suggest that other people follow my lead. Possibly, if people 'vote with their feet', companies like Littlewoods might start appreciating their customers & improving their customer service.
Hi Justmyopinion,
We're very happy to hear that your cooker has now been collected - as we did advise in our email correspondence yesterday.
We had escalated this to Arrow XL stressing the severe importance of this collection which meant that this collection did not appear on their regular tracking system.
This is why - when you continued to email yesterday evening - you were advised that no collection request could be located on their system as arranged for today. This information was true from the point of view of the ArrowXL advisor who provided the information to our advisors yesterday evening and this is why this was communicated to you.
We are very sorry to hear that you were not contacted by ArrowXL as they had told us and will arrange for this to be looked into.
Many Thanks
Dave

Secondly, it still doesn't guarantee it would be sorted.
I gave the public facing number for XL collections. Who speak to the collectee.
Its like on fualty goods where it can be quicker to speak to the manufacturer than the retailer.
In this case it would have been quicker to speak to the courier than littlewoods.0 -
Sorry if Im off topic here but I cant seem to find out how to post a new thread. LITTLEWOODS DO CON YOU. For over a year now I haven't received any commission on anything I have bought. Apparantly everything was a sale item. Fair enough that could be true (ive no way of checking as a number of electrical items I bought they no longer sell). However I pre ordered an x box one in July last year for delivery in December.Lo and behold no commission again. First I was told it was because I was paying under £20 a month (I wasn't) so then I was told it was because it was on sale(it wasn't) so then I was told it was because it was a multi buy item(I don't class a download code from Microsoft for a free game as a multi buy item as their terms and conditions specify " buy 3 for the price of 2" which I take to mean similar or same items. They will not fully explain why the xbox is classed as a multi buy item (I suspect its because they cant really). Now being told 3 different excuses makes me suspect that they are trying to intentionally cheat customers out of their commission. How many people just accept what they tell you?0

Again sounds like you got through to Cardiff, The mecca of poor training at Serco/SDG
From what I remember of Rewards* (This is going back a few years but from what others have told me the principles the same still) is that on rewards* If you buy one sale item until either that item is paid off (using the new 20 week system, I say new its been in since 2011/12 when they launched NWOW) or the whole order is paid off Rewards* will not be earnt. BUT On some accounts it was until the whole balance was paid off. and if you kept adding to the balance you were in a rut.
Its not really a con, The products are sold on easy terms not that you can earn Rewards* Theyre slowly removing the scheme with the closure of EXCPLA Level (Exclusive Platinum) which allowed you to cash in your rewards for cheques and account payments0 -
