Orange ADSL £30 disconnection fee

Have been with Orange for a few years, and I do not recall disconnection fee being in the contract that I have signed.
Don't really fancy paying on their whim.
The service has been outright bad, but is there an ADSL broadband provider in the UK who does a great job at both service and customer service?
PS No cable here, and the ADSL line is rather poor. And yes, this is in London.

If you are not moving to another provider, I believe it is a fairly standard fee across most ADSL providers. I think the charge comes from BT OR and is passed on to you by the provider.
Obviously if you are porting to another provider you won't usually have to pay this as the new provider absorbs it.0 -
