Swapping to BT

Hi. I'm currently in the process of shopping around for a new phone and broadband supplier, poss TV. I'm with Sky currently but have been very impressed with BTs television adverts and their January broadband sale.
I also believe BT are supporting less well off countries by setting up call centres all across the world which I find is a wonderful idea.
Does anyone have any experience of BT services or even better currently has them as their provider. I'm also looking at Tesco and maybe iTalk.
Thanks

That's right, it's a charitable idea that BT have come up with to relieve 3rd World poverty. The fact that it's saving them billions of quid in labour costs doesn't come into it...
Seriously, where have you been hiding? BT, like most large service companies, have had call centres in India and elsewhere for at least a decade now, it's hardly a recent development.
And of course, in terms of service, BT are at or near the bottom of every telcom consumer review conducted in the last 3 years.
Sky to BT is just bizzare.
PS: abuse reported. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I am presuming that this is irony, and that you are really appalled at the way they are exploiting cheap overseas labour for profit?
Apologies if I have misread the situation.0 -
I'm a BT client for 2 years.
Landline and BT Infinity.
And, unfortunately, can't tell you how good is BT customer support. Just never had to contact them. Never.
It's just working.
Comparing to my previous broadband form Virgin (cable) it's a totally different experience. I knew Virgin support sucks, because had to contact them 3-4 times a month, almost always getting misleading information. And constant "there is fault in your area" horror.
BT just working. I remember having technical problems once. Maybe. It was something like 20 minutes. Started working again faster than I was able to find out technical support number.0 -
The company needs to change its name to "T".0

What sale? They just re-arranged some numbers.
The £15 deal was 40GB, now 20GB. Instead of £100 Sainsburys, you get £50, plus £45 discount spread over six months. So the current deal is worse than before.0
