Are Ovivo and Lebara both being carried by Vodafone?
Can someone confirm that Lebara and Ovivo use the same vodfaone network? I have a payg phone which works with a lebara sim but locks out when I put in an Ovivo sim. I always thought they were both being carried by vodafone but this phone thinks otherwise unless you can have locks which discriminate within networks.

Both Ovivo and Lebara do indeed use Vodafone.
You absolutely can have locks which discriminate between networks.
If your phone is unlocked, then it should pick up a network signal from both carriers providing the sims are active etc.
If your PAYG phone isn't unlocked - it could be that Lebara uses the same operator code (not sure of the exact terminology) as Vodafone does, thus giving access to the network - but Ovivo's code could be different etc.
Hope that makes sense?0 -
Thanks Tony, that make perfect sense.0
