Thank you! It is amazing how much head space i’ve cleared now those two jobs have been polished off! I really hope that DF gets the clients that she needs from the leaflet drop. I will get DS to post them on supermarket boards too.

I am copying Flanno :) . I have started a £1.00 a day pot too, to pay for Christmas. There has been a pound coin winking at me, from DS desk. I ‘accidentally’ flicked it in to ‘no man’s’ land ...... the hall, pounced, and used it to start my fund. I then felt like a petty thief, so I decided to ask DS for it and any other loose change that I come across, over the course of the year, and he agreed. He realised that he will benefit too from the potential £250.00. I will just have to work on DH now, who tends to be very protective of his pennies, never mind the pounds!!

I have a post office account, so I will transfer the proceeds from my £1.00 pot into that, each time that I am down posting ebay parcels. I have four to post today! One surprisingly lucrative transaction was selling a booklet of money off coupons that I got through the door for T*sco. They sold for £8.00. I also bought the Mandela DVD, ‘Long Walk to Freedom’ to watch yesterday. I put it on ‘buy it now’ and sold it, almost immediately, for just a couple of pounds less than what I bought it for. A great film, hot off the press, watched by all for just £2.00!

    TTFN xx.

So glad you've managed to help DF and DS and therefore cleared your frogs. It's lovely to help others if you can and I hope it really works well for both of them.

Selling your DVD straight away is brilliant! I've never thought of that and may do that in future. I keep meaning to put some bits on there but I'm saving it all for a car boot - that I must do!!

All in all sounds like you've got May organised so top marks hon, have a great day tomorrow :) xx

Thanks Sassy and INOD. I haven't really been paying attention to the loose change, but that is now the harvest for my £1.00 a day pot. If a penny isn't somebody elses prisoner it will now be mine!!

    Today's frog:-

I still haven't really sorted out my menu plan for the rest of the month and I am now moving from a diet to a healthy eating regime based around:-

    1400 calories a day
2 litres of water a day
At least 5 pieces of fruit and veg a day
    2 fish teas a week
    2 Vegetarian teas a week
A spoonful of mixed seeds a day
A mix of protein, healthy carbs and veg for each tea
3 small snacks a day so that blood sugar levels stay regular

Exercise at the gym 3 x a week.
5 alcohol free days a week.

I have £200.00 left in the food budget to last until month end. I am well stocked for toilet rolls, washing up powder etc and I have some food in the freezer and cupboards.

    I have a £15.00 off £60.00 voucher for Sainsbury's and a £10.00 off £40.00 M&S Food Hall voucher.

    The Plan

    1. Get meat/fish, organic products, from above, for the whole month - £75.00 (after discounts)
    2. Shop weekly, at Aldi, for fruit and Veg, tins etc - £30.00 a week
    3. Bake own bread in breadmaker and make cakes for DS/DH for the rest of the month

I am now going to plan a menu around the above, from now until month end ............. and tonight I am going to my yoga class.

    Wish me luck x.

Hi Rainbow, INOD, good to catch up with your wonderful motivational posts today. Been Missing in Action for a few days with revision.

Another 2.00 euros in the egg cup - Sassychick christened my pot euro in an egg cup as pound in a pot didnt sound right, as we use euros here in Ireland (as ya all know) so i'm rechristening it my euro in an egg cup pot.

I religiously everyday put my euros into my pot, my smaller coins, 20c, 50c, into another 'poker' tin (ahem) and I give my 1, 2 and 5s to DD2 who saves them up in a pot and brings them to the bank and lodges them in her bank account (shes' 18 now been doing it for about the last 4-5 years. Shes an MSEr in the making.

I play poker once a month with a group of girls for fun, to be honest we do more talking than playing but its always useful to have the coins saved up in advance........... :)

Gosh Rainbow I'm in awe of 3 times a week in the gym and 5 alcohol free days a week, I am lucky to manage a walk a couple of days a week. Must try harder, must try harder >

Best of luck with all the MSEing...........

    Flanno.
  • I love the idea of the poker Flanno.

I have a big, skinny incentive for sticking to this latest plan .......... I have a gorgeous dress, in my wardrobe, that cost hundreds of pounds and has only been worn once. I bought it for a cousin's wedding, about seven years ago, having gone on a crash diet before the event. I have consequently never been able to wear it since!

My sister and BIL have their 25th Wedding Anniversary in June and it is a big, black tie event, that is costing more than your average wedding:eek:. This dress would be perfect, and then all I need to do is hunt the charity shops of Morningside, Stockbridge and Corstorphine to see if I can get shoes, shawl and bag to match. My budget for the event is £20.00 and I want to look a million dollars :rotfl::rotfl:.

Failing the above ........ I have no plan B !!!! 10 stone 13 pounds and toned arms would do the trick which is 7lb away.

Lovely posh dress and a big posh do sounds the perfect incentive to get going so we're all behind you.

Flanno - glad you like the euro in an eggcup idea. Good luck!

Thanks Sassy, i'll need all the encouragement I can get!

Yesterday I stuck to my eating and exercise plan and I had a long look at my dress and visualised myself in it, twirling around, at the ball!

It is very pretty, with detailed embroidery and lots of twinkly, cut class stones stitched on to the fabric.

I am going to christen this 33 day endeavour – 'PROJECT PEACOCK'.
4 Key items to keep me on my goal track today:-
    • Draw up detailed plan for Project Peacock, working back from the end result required.
    • Contact IT help desk to fix hand held computer for an assignment.
    • Scour house for coins.
    • Pilates class and sauna, and stick firmly to health eating and exercise plan, which will hereby be know as HEEP. :)
