I really wish this thread also dies so that people (incl myself, yourself et all) wouldn't have to continuously defend our egos for what has been said, done and experienced from the 'system' around us.
Well If you no longer post on this thread I can assure you the majority of others wont.0 -
[I know I will have to explain the above in a different language to make Pollycat understand ....never-mind, getting used to the 'systems' here :rotfl:]Well If you no longer post on this thread I can assure you the majority of others wont.
Go for it, hpuse!
Make post #2061 your very last post on this thread.

It's a two way traffic....if majority of others hadn't called me a troll posting unscrupulous, misleading, and irrelevant information in post#1 [mind you: all I attempt is to 'help' a consumer who has fallen prey to these rip off sites by post#1], this thread would have buried to death ages ago and Pollycat would have taken a sabbatical twice .. :rotfl:0 -

Proprietors of BPS has achieved what they wanted to achieve.....spread the word, cause panic using social media such as this and LB forums.
All they need to do now is send out more emails to capitalise on this 'engineered' publicity.
The very same people that failed to read T&C's is most likely to read only the words like court action, legal threat, claims etc. The chances of some of them waving their credit cards again to avoid court proceeding are much more likely now with this level of publicity.
You see - they are on a mission and all it takes is a website and few authors to write few pages... on their website or forum pages.0 -
If people have received emails telling you they will be contacting your local Citizens Advice for you please report them to the ICO at below link.

Personally I'd much prefer there was information available to people dealing with the aftermath of having got caught out by one of these sites, to see they aren't alone, and that what the companies involved are doing IS wrong and IS being looked at by Trading Standards, than leave them on their own in the dark.LegalBeagles0 -

I have read through the full LB forum thread and trust me - I have seen these 'missions' over here in this MSE thread at least 10 times in the past year.
If you look carefully at the LB thread pattern, 'aviduser', who created the thread does not appear anymore. Soon then 'Campana14' came to support (to set the ball rolling). Both of them are now missing and may have passed the baton onto someone 'else'.
What I am saying is, these appear to be nothing but organized 'PR activities' to steer a thread and spread the panic to target a group of audience.
As a part of these PR, they will be hating and name-calling these copycat sites. After all it is a public forum, they must appear genuine and align with general sentiments over copycating. Last year, PR was mainly focused on re-affirming the legality of copycat sites doing rip-off - but thankfully, that does not happen anymore. May be even the proprietors realise that their legal shelves-life is expiring and 'focus' is more on wind-down activities incl legal-scaremongering.
Remember these PR folks know their real 'audience' i.e the real people who clicked for appointment. These scamsters know that their postal addresses and emails provided are genuine and the biggest asset they hold.
So they want them to read and take actions in a jiffy. So these PR folks will make sure the correct 'meaningful sentences' will come up in their posting.
If someone cannot yet provide a genuine copy of a court claim (despite you and others asking at least 5 times in LB forum) - what do you make out of that? To me...these are nothing but email scare tactics..
We are living in a mad world of internet and social media publicity, who would you blame???....I say 'google' heheheh..:rotfl:0 -
And today's lesson in service provider websites is, they are still here!
And it seems, according to their publicity, they are using the law, county courts to seek redress on the service they provided.
One year on, no change then!0 -

I have had the same thoughts don't worry, I do have direct contact with the user known as aviduser, we will find out if it is genuine, and I have made clear that it is currently unverified. I have been forwarded on a number of emails between the company and 'customers' and I do tend to take everything with a pinch of salt until verified. One of my annoyances.May be even the proprietors realise that their legal shelves-life is expiring and 'focus' is more on wind-down activities incl legal-scaremongering.
Completely agree and think that is exactly what they are doing.
